Dune is an amazing movie. There were some scenes where my jaw just hit the ground, and that never happens to me in a movie. Truly a cinematography, CGI, music and acting masterpiece. Can't wait to see how the story progresses.

Why the spice is important and who the Spacing Guild is and why they matter is not very explicitly stated and that might make it hard for people with no background. I had to explain all of that to my daughter afterward, who had no foreknowledge of the story whatsoever

As someone who is not familiar with the series it seemed a bit generic however I realise that it wasnt at the time it orinally came out but I dont think that matter for a new audience. It felt a bit too fast paced. The mystery part of the show and the world in general was pretty interesting and I am definitely going to watch the next movie and find out were it goes.

I see the clear blue sky, it is a bit cold, but the sun is shining. The trees have turned golden and everything seems to be so calm and quiet. I am only 2 minutes in that mix but it realy took me somewhere. Just stood up from my desk, ripped the fly protection net off my window, 'cause I could'nt stand not to see this day in all its beauty. Now I listen to "Anomaly" again and looking out of my window now gives me an inner smile... thanks for that experience

After the three first seconds I knew I will love this mix with all of my heart.

Amazing waves to ride this morning after watching the new Dune movie last night as well. I'm always looking forward to hearing your mixes and this one is one of the best! Dune inspired indeed. Fav track is the last one 'forever' right at 45:15 I usually am playing these for background while tasking around but I just stopped my activity for a moment and was carried away. You can''t buy moments like that, only find them. For a moment I felt like Paul on a spice vision dreaming of past events and future possibilities, carried away by the sound waves.

@@trollingsoul3386 you could do with reading a whole* shitty* anything to improve spelling :dunk: as for 'serial' I suppose you mean saga, of which I have both paper and audio, and have bought the 1st Dune novel (Dune) for others as I've enjoyed the story to such a degree. I'm quite qualified to like this iteration of the movie Dune part 1 for what it is, as I have the other two movies. Fair enough? :)

To me Dune is much more deeper and nuanced then Star Wars. But yeah it was a masterpiece of a movie but the Novel was even more. I hope we get a extended cut because I felt that there were parts that felt rushed.

@@davidcline471 Hey, dune was based on SW did you know? Frank Herbert wrote Dune and it was later read and inspired George Lucas to write Star Wars. There are many similarities that help make that connection (the Empire and Emporer, gifted individuals like Jedi and Bene Gesserit, and even Paul Atreides who inspired the character Luke Skywalker!).

Imagine we get a sci-fi movie as epic as dune with music like this. Do you now how amazing that be.

I'm not sure synthwave can be especially "Dune-y" but I enjoyed this all the same. Paul could stand to chill with this instead of fretting over visions of possible futures all the time.
