Mater Dei's last QB is leading Alabama, Duncanville's 2018 QB is bouncing around the transfer portal and a backup at Utah. Texas has good players but they don't see enough good competition to hone their games, iron sharpens iron. These So CA teams see legit top 40 teams every week, every mistake they make is exploited. They get better real fast.

@@kFlame-yg2et Watch that game again and notice how fast the ball is across the LOS for Mater Dei. 1 second on running plays, 3 seconds on passing plays. They don't give teams a chance in the backfield with big, slow developing plays. Texas is a step behind in the team aspect of the game. Duncanville just might win the Texas playoffs, it would redeem them and all the people talking smack. I commend them for taking on a game that the other teams refused.

Football, Basketball, Track… Dallas is where it’s at for real. Nationwide!

Kids who grew up playing against each other in rival towns who do not like each other instead of some private school being built in blah Texas recruiting from booth schools this is real Public league football!!!! Why is desto fan base always so small I used to think it was black schools but north shore has a huge fan base that also travels well

Bro I feel what you are saying and I say Texas hs football is always in the top 3 when it comes to hs football I would say Texas #1 California and Florida either or can be #2 and Alabama 3 the problem I have with Texas is they don’t travel much to play other top teams from other states like Florida and California and one thing i can and see is that California and Florida top teams are always traveling to play other top teams around the country can’t say that about Texas and correct me if I’m wrong ! I believe Florida and California have always reached out to Texas to come out to play but seems to always decline please correct me if wrong .like I said Texas is #1 in hs football but need to come out of state and let the rest of the country know Texas is a force to be dealt with

@@j-darcher5552 no they don't. In Texas UIL you can't play for a school unless your gaurdians residence is in the public school district. Sure do a small number of kids move in with grandparents or relatives to change school districts. Bit thats not even comparable to literal football academies. If you think traditional programs like D'Ville, Southlake, or Lake Travis etc where 98% of their players grew up there are like IMG that literally functions like a college. Then you're either dumb, dellusional, or dishonest. I dont even have a problem with places like IMG existing. Its like a trade school, which is fine. But don't compare them to actual public high schools. The fact that Texas UIL keeps programs like those from taking over all the best talent in high school football is part of what makes Texas high school football so fun. Real communities building a powerhouse that they get behind, not just a bunch of kids pulled in from all over, even out of state just to stack the team.

@@averyr18 You seem to assume that happens on a wide scale. I’ll say 95% of that roster stays within the school zone and grew up there and the rest are transfers. Texas schools don’t need to recruit since it’s open-enrollment which means they can get hella transfers but that don’t mean they got recruited. Parents choice at the end of the day for their kids to have a chance. Westlake and Caroll literally a majority white team and if they recruit on a wide scale, those teams will be really diverse.

@@averyr18 Hball is different from college ball but you do make a great point. Good examples is Kyler Murray , Bryce young and Tate Martell( last two already have so much weapons compared to Kyler) . Regarding LSU, LSU had a greater receiving core prior to burrow transferring but him transferring there did make a huge difference.

Their match? There's two teams in Houston, one in Austin, etc..have something to say about that. Those three teams win against either these teams.
