I love this version of Duncan Gets Spooked. That “Take Me Back!” still gets me to this day.

SiF's audio production of Duncan gets Spooked was always a favourite of mine as well as being one of my favourite adaptations of the original story. Hearing the voices with new music choices and sound effects is so freshing.

Glory! I've heard and seen different interpretations of Duncan Gets Spooked over the years and I never know this version exists. Another version that surprises and even gives me a spooked a little. And this recreation of this rewrite of Duncan get Spooked is really something. You did a fantastic job adapting this rewrite of this story. Fantastic job here! Keep up the great work and take care!

This adaptation was absolutely amazing! I loved how Peter Sam got more of a role in this too over the original episode

This is an interesting approach to the story. I'm curious to see how the original Ducan Gets Spooked gets more and more flushed out and "developed" in its own miniverse as more and more people create new and expanded versions of the story.

That was just to make it clear which word I thought was misspelled, and I assumed that it was caused by autocorrect.

This Version of this Story is the best, Takes me back to this day., Excellent Work.

The moment old Bailey (I know it’s not supposed to be old Bailey, but still) singing amazing grace made me chuckle.

This is what we've been waiting for.

For anyone asking, I supplied the original audio files to Shunter to make this - hence why a number of elements originally cut out have surfaced here. We're going to be putting out the files for everyone and anyone to use to do their own versions.

This was one of my favorite episodes growing up. I don't know what got me more frightened, Duncan's face on the bridge, or the atmosphere itself.

This was a masterpiece when it first came out. Never thought I'd see it adapted into Trainz!

I’ll be honest I really enjoy this version of Duncan gets spooked a bit more than the original one. Great job.

It appears Duncan gets spooked has returned but this time with a different ghost engine instead of the ghost engine falling in the water in single he falls down with trucks that’s new

That Story Was Outstanding.

It still amazes me the original crew behind this audio adaptation was able to get Billy Connolly on board for a guest appearance. Best adaptation ever!

Very cool visualization of Ryan and Simon's classic audio version! Even years later that opening poem still gives me chills.

I can't believe it, it finally happened. SIF Duncan Gets Spooked gets a trainz remake.

Didn't expect this version to get adapted at this point, so this is a nice surprise. Especially with how far tech and skills have come.

I remember this audio story from a while back, very glad to see it made in visual format.

I must ask, some of the dialogue sounds slightly different from the original version of 2010. Were you given other takes from back then as well and used those in its original place as you saw appropriate?

Hold up It was known that the trucks were old and were on the list to be scrapped So there was already a chance the couplings would break, this can't be Peter Sam's fault. If anything it would be The Thin Controllers fault for allowing possibly dangerous wagons to be used

I also wonder why they never reinstalled the railing along the bridge. That would stop any engine from going over again.

@@Rocketuber He is the Railway Consultant for S5 of Thomas the Tank Engine, co-writing a few stories w/ Britt Allcroft and David Mitton. Most of which based on real off-beat incidents (like how the RWS did). Duncan Gets Spooked being one of them was partially inspired by an incident at a colliery between Cymmer Afan and Treherbert Paxman diesel could not hold 18 loaded coal wagons despite brakes pinned down and ran away, the engine and wagons going through a sand drag protecting the single running line and fell into a stream damming it and causing a minor flood. He tried contacting HiT Entertainment to continue his duties but sadly received no reply.

Did you get the original voice actors for the audio adaptation for this? Their lines sound so clean!

I have never understood what is being said in the opening due to the Scottish accent, particularly the lines: "Across the bridge that would (???)" "Too late to realise their blunder, the trucks (???)"

I remember this audio adaptation well. I never thought the original recordings would be used for this production. However did you manage to acquire them? 🤯 Once again, I must point out the issues of timing between lines and the music volume.

I get along very well with Ryan and various members of the SiF team who kindly sent me the original audio clips for the production. As for the music volume, I ran it through Davinci. From my end, it sounded ok. I'm probably a little impatient not running it through audacity first. I need to really try to strike the right balance with timing.

There was a time I threw Prometheus off that bridge in a Roblox game. He fell into the river and was swept away at a tremendously comical speed.

I was not expecting the river to be THAT powerful! XD It was such a funny sight watching an engine in a game get swept away like a wooden toy. The thing is, players don’t get swept away at all.
