    Breaking glass is sooo therapeutic! A neighbor had a big barrel and a huge stack of chipped and half broken cups and plates. We spent a great hour throwing them into the barrel. We had long sleeves and eye protection. It was a great sense of elation to break the glass.

    I used to have a large number of parts cars which were used for parts to keep our old cars running. I knew a local girl who told me that she loved to smash windows and dishes, so every time that I was ready to send one off to the scrap yard I'd invite her over to break all the windows and lights and cut up the seats before the scrap truck came. She really got off on it.

    Hi mike, I am hospital worker, the medical consumables are past expiry date therefore can't be used, you are right about doctors with no borders we collect it and some of them take it with them when they go overseas to operate in 3rd world countries / poor countries, on the other side you can check with some vets, some of them will be more than happy to use it for their charity work at animals shelters, nothing wrong with the stuff except that the sterility date has expired, As always fun to watch, keep the good work up 👍👍👍

    I remember working at a store doing stock work and clean up. It was a high end womens' clothing store and I would have to toss so much cardboard in the two dumpsters. Back then there were dumpster divers who would pull out all the cardboard and sell them at a paper recycling center. Now that cities are recycling cardboard all across the country it doesn't really pay much if any. I see so much cardboard boxes that Mike has to dig through to get to the scrap and dumpster treasures that I feel that it's such a shame that it's all going to the landfill.

    I would report that medical dumping because of a potential biohazard.

  • @AndyHullMcPenguin

    @AndyHullMcPenguin

    3 жыл бұрын

    Unused medical products are more of a potential toxic hazard than a biohazard, however... I can almost guarantee that there are laws about correct disposal. Which means it is expensive to dispose of legally. So I have little doubt some smartass is faking the paperwork, salting that old expired sh*t into the local dumpsters, and keeping the big markup for "correct" disposal. I once found a stack of confidential data tapes in a dumpster, near a large local hospital. The tapes even helpfully said on the label what was on them. These things are meant to be disposed of in a controlled manner, and in accordance with the data retention policy, so probably verifiably destroyed on site. Not left out with the trash when the computer gets upgraded, so that some random passer by can pick them up and read the confidential medical records of half of the city. There are always people willing to cut corners to save or make a few bucks.

He found some big ones in a storage unit he bought. He sold them for a very good amount. The ones you found can bring in a couple of bucks foe you & your family.
