I'm sorry but dogs DON'T need sweaters. They're born with them.

You should always wear long pants and bring your socks over the front of your pant legs before jumping in providing there isn't a million ants in the dumpster. Your skin exposed to sharp objects within any given dumpster could lead you with a huge gash/911 emergency. I suggest that you always wear long pants when Recycling the goods.

Whoever threw the dog sweaters away should have donated them to the local humane society or other animal rescue organization.

I will bet porch pirates stole those Amazon packages and threw them out when they realized they were worthless to them.

Here in california the cops arrest you for going into the trash bins because its property of the company who tossed it and the trash companys property in their bin.

If you still have those pet supplies, and are looking for a place to donate them, I would like to suggest that you take those items to local NO KILL shelters, I'm sure they would gladly accept them. I don't think that was stolen goods, I think someone bought a pallet of returned items, sight unseen, got disappointed with their purchase, and tossed it.

Dog stuff like that can bring you BIG BUCKS! You could sell that stuff for $3 to $5 each easily or sell bundles online for like $25 a set!

Residential dumpsters are FAR more interesting than industrial dumpsters!
