It still amazes me at how much these big companies throw out. They could donate those items and use it as a tax write off.

I understand but as returns… they have to toss it out.. it’s a liability.. imagine if someone tampers with something and then returns it?? And imagine if they put it back on the shelf or giveaway it someone would turn around and sue them so quickly

Oh my God, I go into Alta dumpster all the time. And I got 2 big bags full of stuff worth at least a $1000.

Cool haul! Be careful with bleach and vinegar can be very dangerous to mix.

So sad the lengths they go to completely destroy perfectly good makeup. They could’ve donated all that to a women’s shelter, they would’ve been more than grateful. Just disappointing to see how much waste these stores create in a last-ditch effort to make more money.

@@Yoshi.nakamura I’m not referring to the people working at Ulta stores, I’m well aware that they’re just doing their job. I’m referring to the corporate heads who own/run Ulta and these other stores. They call the shots and they absolutely could donate some of their products instead of throwing them away.

I have gotten a lot of hair tools out of our Ulta. More often than not they are repairable. Have gotten Dyson, Lange, BaBy Bliss Pro, BCH Gold, Paul Mitchell, etc.

Love this! Those circles are portable shavers! They have 3 sides in the circle that you twist. A water spray, a shave balm/lotion, and a razor

Wow, you find some good stuff. The ulta in my area, they pour out the products in a trash bag, then put the empty product in the bag. Some stuff is salvageable though but I wish it looked like yours, it would be much easier lol

in california or at least in my district, we do not toss product out like this; we sort it out based on hazardous, flammables etc into these big bins that get picked up, then it gets damaged out properly. not sure what ulta is doing this.

After re attaching the cords properly to the hair tools, where are you allowed to sell them? I have searched for the answer online but can't seem to find a definitive answer. Wasn't sure if ebay or mercari had some policy about selling tools with reattached cords.

Once i attach them i personally use them, I give to friends and family and they are aware they were cut and I repaired them. I don’t sell items. But I’ve seen others sell cut cord items and sell them as is so whoever pays for them would have to fix it themselves.

The round things are called spiinx it a portable shaver has soap bar and spray bottle and razor

This many products would be worth it to me. The people at my Ulta’s must have some anger issues cause they looovvveee to destroy.

The little circle things are razors! They have a spray bottle for water, soap, and a razor in them.

Save those other palettes you can use them to replace some other makeup

Those palettes are easy to clean & fix…just add rubbing alcohol!

If you have make up & moisturiser in a tube & getting to the end, cut the tube down & you will find a lot of make up & moisturiser left, I do it all the time and saves you money

How are you supposed to know when it’s expired??? Does usual make up labels just says “12-18 month” in the time it was dropped. But you won’t know they don’t have dates right ??

There’s a code on each box or item that u can look up and when they are were manufactured

It makes no sense to me they waste all that stuff but then say well we have to throw it out due to hygiene. Funny thing about that is the testers everyone uses was found to me nasty and yet they don't mind letting people do that it's so stupid

Because the company can be sued by people who go through the trash and get infections from these used products

That portable razor is so neat!!! Love ulta soup boxes, despite the mess. My Ulta truly does its due diligence on wrecking all their products. I try to save as much as I can too! Happy Diving!

Let me tell you, as an employee of Ulta for 3 yrs I don't think you realize how DISGUSTING those testers are. If you value your safety at all!! DO NOT use those
