Girl, you should come to Taiwan for Din Tai Fung, cheaper and more options! 😊 ( in Taiwan you can choose 5 dumplings for each basket instead of 10. so you can try different flavors).

Be aware, DTF in Toronto is NOT part of the same group They only using the name on their own.Try the one in LA or N Y.

That look Herbert gave when you said the spicy ones weren’t spicy. Lol! And then they weren’t! How’s Herbert’s spice tolerance now as compared to when you were first dating? My Dutch hubby is better now than when we first met, not the best but better! 🔥🔥

While I liked the server's recommendations, it felt that they went with the safe route and suggested popular menu items that were overall kind of similar to each other. Perhaps you can consider going adventurous in trying different menu items next time 😊 A personal recommendation would be their salted egg yolk golden lava buns, those never miss! (But careful they're hot)

Hi, finally back to watch more of your vids, yay! Welcome to your new spouse also. Ah, Din Tai Fung is such a treat for me. I love that spicy sauce! I dip all the dumplings into it. I know you're not a veggie fan, but their veggies are all steamed with this amazing garlicky goodness! If you get a chance to try the veggies, please do, you won't regret it (though you will have garlic breath, so be careful).

Yay!! Welcome back! 🥰 we tried the green beans last time and they were amazing!!

K-drama moment. We fell and YB caught us so now we are in love with her. I like Din Tai Fung, I usually go when I visit L.A. I like the dumpling and the beef noodle soup. Fried rice is a little too oily for my liking and the green beans are too soggy to me. I prefer how my parents make them.

I love DIN TAI FUNG a lot too. Next time you can use the ginger from the soy sauce vinegar dip onto your dumplings, it will be extra good :). If you want it spicier, they do have the chilli oil as a condiment as well.

Dumplings are my favourite food. I'm so jealous!

@YBChangOfficial unfortunately, most places just carry a standard gyoza or mandu, not a lot of variation of flavor or style. I'll have to try frozen for some different options, even if they're not as amazing fresh from an amazing restaurant!

The problem of ordering so many varieties of dumplings, it’s only good when it’s hot right out of the steamer. I would suggest you order only one or two at at time and go from there.

@@YBChangOfficial, here, they're very thick, dense noodles usually cooked with large chunks of chicken in a thickened chicken broth. You'd love it, as it's often made without vegetables.

I've heard such mixed reviews about DTF. I'm not sure if I should give in to the hype and do it. You guys seemed to like it. I know XLB are supposed to be so great, but the few I've tried...meh.

I've had DTF in Hong Kong, Singapore and London. It's been excellent every time but it's pretty expensive outside of SE Asia.

the spiciness for chinese food is "mala" which is numbing spice... that's my husband and my favorite type of spice. Seems like herbert likes the mala spice too. pork soup dumpling is the standard. my favorite!

This place sadly was overhyped for me.. I was disappointed because it tasted too Americanized and was expecting Asian style.. not panda express style ..oh well. We went home from our vacation in Cali. and made it ourselves to wash off our disappointment.. LOL :P

I think their dumplings are their weakest dish. Pork cutlet, spicy anything are chef's kiss.
