    I bought a quality 50 lb training dummy 20 years ago and it helped me map out various technicalities of submissions, sequences, transitioning tightly through the pinning work and explore the possibilities when I could only train 2 x weekly. Now I teach at a school right near my home and get many rolls in each week as well but still use the dummy on my home mats occasionally in the same academic manner. This is more of a learning tool than a conditioning apparatus. The preparation work comes in the form of solo movement drills, KBs, body weight resistance training, rope skipping and stretching regularly.
