it's common with "high res" packs, people take any sort of garbage they can find on the net, mash it together and call it a masterpiece, high res my ass, this is the biggest pile of shit I've ever seen in my life, no sense of consistency what so ever, the best part of it is even the maker admitted this in the forums, the icing on the fucking cake.

I went to read comments in 6:58 when I saw this comment 7:03 happened, I laughed out so fucking bad.

The alien splatter hitting the water was impressive. Blows away all of the pixelated hours I played this game. The one code I remember is dnclip to walk through walls and finding messages from the level lord.

This is like making out with your sister: It might be new and exciting, but it is also just plain wrong.

Every 3d object looks tiny (check 32:13, the octobrain). I think it's because of a dumb camera that is being used, which stretches everything like hell. Looks terrible...

+Arachnosoft - Maxime Abbey The Grabbag theme hooked me immediately. Really well done.

Finally someone remembered the register secret.. also in the ally where the end button is,, if you jet pack straight up all the way to the top over the bridge ,, you will find another secret.. another jet pack and I think some health, I can't remember exactly what because I haven't played this since I was a kid..

These missions make me think Duke isn't the last, best hope of humanity, but rather a deranged lunatic killing random people, cops, and clergy members because he think's they're alien monsters. He goes on a rampage through the Red Light District, breaking into people's homes, shooting up movie theatres and arcades, and in general killing anybody he comes across, because he thinks they are aliens, kidnapped breeding hostages or, in case of the strippers, alien body stealers (they die in a puddle of green blood if you shoot them). Then, they finally catch him, throw him on death row, and he manages to escape, killing guards and inmates, even the poor priest in the confessional, because ''aliens''. Breaks into a cell where two inmates were planning their own escape, kills them, finishes their tunnels with improvised explosives, and hijacks a nuclear submarine that was docked to disgorge court martials into the prison. He then hits the Auto Destruct button in the sub, and blames the aliens for ''booby trapping'' the submarine he just blew up.

Hey there, great vid! Trying to play myself but some minor issues. Namely the gloves don't appear on the Duke Plus specific weapon (in fact the laser gun is thhe DP default). Is there a certain way to install Duke Plus with the Zpack mod? I have Zpack in autoload zipped and Dukeplus as my addon folder as both instructed, but no dice. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I don't know if you already solved this, but if it doesn't appear in duke plus wepons, the first thing you should do is download the duke plus v. 2.40, then on the Z-pack zip file there is a folder called duke plus, with 2 folders inside, copy these 2 folders on the 2.40 duke plus you downloaded before. Then, there is a .bat file called dukeplus-Z, click on it and eduke 32 should appear, then simply start your game and that should solve the problem.

Duke sure has tiny arms in this mod

Seems the fans of Duke Nukem 3D would prefer the classic textures from the likes of 1996 than the High Resolution Pack. I don't blame them one bit. I do like the sky and the weapon textures though but the character models are a bit unpolished and animations are clunky. Digitized sprites? Not a problem. It's a mixed bag when it comes to the HRP mod.

Looks pretty cool if maybe a bit too cartoonish :)

Those pistols look nice, but the reload animation is just ugly as shit, and the sounds were perfectly described below me.

Hm... Gore could be better (like brutal packs (+18)), and gonna be nice if you could put some remixes on tracks.

Looks great! You should work with Mr.Dethklok (Mr.3DRealms, Level Designer, he's was CNN, he's a blonde chick now) on this! Haha. We just need to make a REAL Duke Nukem sequel. Just call it Duke Nukem 4D. Finding the nitty-gritty coders is the hard part. The more it is like Duke Nukem 64 and Forever 98', the better. XD We need a game with balls of steel in this day of pussy cats.

This suffers from the same visual clashing as the high-res Doom resources; the 3D models and HD textures feel completely out of place with the sparsely detailed architecture. Definitely an example of big fat pixels being more appropriate. Also, replacing some sounds and not others wasn't the best idea. Those original Duke sounds are very low fidelity, so any new sounds that aren't equally compressed to shit won't work.

So true , i don't understand why many of these so called high resolution etc...can't be better at all ? Are the people remaking those game just wannabes pretending to make something better which is shit . We're in 2019 can't believe no one can make something "revolutionnary" these days all seem old and deja vu before it comes out .

auto aiming sucks

So bad the more they improve things the more they ruin it , leave our classics alone ! The gun sound sounds horrible . The music is pitched up like someone has a train to take . High Resolution , HD and all that jazz is shit for old games . Similar with Doom 2016 the gun sounds are terribly low and are pew pew compared to the gun sounds from N64&PSX which for me are number one . And the disgrace easy lazy money cash grab Serious Sam First&Second Encounter in HD offered nothing new i would have rather see a complete NEW game than remaking it . Duke Nukem for the VR isn't good either and is an abomination . Call it a revolution nowadays 😒😒.......my ass yes .
