You would get so much practice that it would just end up coming naturally to you. You would eventually have a rolodex of things to talk about in your head so small talk wouldn't be so difficult. But you would be absolutely exhausted by the end of each day.

I have to say it. Diana would be so proud of Prince William. He is so down to earth!

Sorry from my bad english i'm french but i really admire the british royal family . Ther was Diana 's divorece then her death, then Charles marriage with Camilla (witch was the obstacle beetween Charles and Diana although i respect her because the press hated her and he said nothing until it one day it stoped, by being irreprocheble. Almost like she knew she kind of eserved it ) but now there is a ligh:t William and Kate. They are the future. god bless the queen and them both. i'm also spanish from my mother side and i can tell you that despite Juan Carlos the King (ancien) , the scandals with La infanta Cristina. El Rey Felipe y su esposa Laetizia with her 2 daugnters Leonor y Sophia are acting perfectly exactly like Willaim and Kate. They also are the future of spain monarchy.

William is President of BAFTA, how poor of him and his wife were they not to have watched EVERY film up for nomination. The royal protocol is to make those around them feel at ease, the conversation MUST focus on the people they are meeting, and the organisation they are supporting. The courtiers and PR teams would have prepared them well, they would’ve known who they would be meeting and all of those people whom they met would’ve been prepared as well. This is Meghan’s natural domain for obvious reasons, however, William has been President since 2010 and it is right that Catherine be by his side. It is what it is, they did a great job in representing the British film industry as they do every year.

They just make me smile. The charm, knowledge, curiosity, respect, and genuine interest in those with whom they speak is such a joy and a breath of fresh air.

Catherine is so elegant and respectful. I love how poised she is when she meets people - not stand-offish, but respects their space. You can tell she is focusing on the reason she's there instead of acting for the cameras. It comes across as very genuine and humble. William is very confident but also warm hearted, easily makes people feel comfortable. He says such lovely things to people and has a great sense of humor. I'm American but I think he will make an excellent King. What a difficult job!

William seems to relatable. Hardly to imagine him as king. He seems so approachable, whereas the queen still has this mystical aura around her. Something untouchable, “queen-like”, where it’s easy to bow to her and respect her as queen.

Im from Philippines and I really love this couple . I remember I was 11 years old when they married and the entire shows of all television here were all stop and aired their wedding. That time I was starting to love their family .

I love the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, they are royalty but are so down to Earth. They are perfect & when they become King & Queen of England they are going to be amazing! Duchess Catherine looks beautiful as always. And Prince William always looks like he genuinely likes talking to the people that he meets and that he is listening to them as well. Amazing couple. They don't have smiles "glued" onto their faces.

Granted the Royal Family is one of the wealthiest families around. But meeting people and doing "small talk" on formal occasions such as these can be quite a chore, in my personal opinion. I wonder if they ever run out of things to say. And for them to do this all the time is certainly exhausting and draining. However, they were born for this so they are used to it I suppose. My hats off to the Duchess of Cambridge for being committed to this lifestyle change. She will make a well-loved Queen someday.
