Sí, es un producto... Es un producto del esfuerzo, del talento, del llamado "Sistema" que, desde hace 30 años (a la callada, sin mucho alarde), viene formando a estos excepcionales músicos. Es un producto de este país, en el que -demostrado está- no sólo sabemos de salsa, sino también de la "música académica- ¡Qué coasas!!! En Europa quieren emular esta experiencia... Sí, es un producto, de exportación y "Made in VENEZUELA!!!

Me encanto Gustavo Dudamel expresa su musica con sentiminto y emocion un ejemplo a seguir para los venezolanos orgullosos deberiamos de sentirnos todos por que semejante fenomeno ha puesto a venezuela en alto,tiene un espiruto motivador y de solo escuchar su musica la puedes sentir de manera vibrante es un excelente musico que dios lo bendiga y siga tocando como un santo...bellisimo y fenomenal...

I sooo love this guy. he is just so human and alive and passionate. His whole beeing not only in conductin is quite a contradiction to the rather calm, conservative, "adult", white us/european classical music world. I do understand peoples fascination but I would appreciate if people, unlike in this documentary, would not say that makes him an "conducting animal". I think that is -unintentionaly- racist. He is a human who managed to stay human. He is not some exotic wild thing. thank you:)

Por si no lo sabian, esta entrevista del programa 60 minutes de la cadena norteamericana CBS, fue uno de los TOP 10 del 2007 (más vistos). Extraordinario no? :) Que tipazo el dudamel...talentosisimo y a la vez tan humilde....Orgullo de mi tierra guara y de Venezuela toda :)

@JorgeJulioPerez Thank you for expressing what I have always felt to be true. What I hear, is the sound of HOPE. That in Revolutionary Venezuela the people are in an active process of liberation. The the traditional olgarchy has lost its political power. You can almost feel the confidence that the music expresses. A similar process of music education started in the USSR, but never florished. The Venezuelan have taken this to unimagable heights.

En realidad, el Sistema comenzó mucho antes de la llegada de Chávez al Poder. Aunque Chavez los Halla apoyado en su gobierno. Pero no se te olvide que el mismo Hugo Chávez le entregó Venezuela en bandeja de plata a Fidel Castro. Y posteriormente Nicolás Maduro se ha encargado de destruir PDVSA y arruinar a millones de seres humanos. Entre ellos profesionales venezolanos quienes recibimos 3$ mensuales de sueldo en el 2021. Y el petróleo, oro y recursos naturales robado y entregado a otros países.

@milouhb Thank you for sharing the opinion of the Venezuelan oligarchy, Before the Bolivarian Revolution, this orchestra just did not sound good. The orchestra and their families were poor, sick, hungry and uneducated, and totally stressed out. Chavez brought hope, dignity, health care and education, plus, he dramatically increased the budget of El Sistema. Those are the facts, plane and simple.

ericdxx: Excuse me? Have you seen this guy directing? First of all: He's been doing this since he was 15 years old. Second: He has a very special way of directing and has an amazing hability to construct one of the hardest music in the world: venezuelan music Third: He, and his orchestra, enjoy what they do and try to do their best. In case you have any doubts I recommend you to search in KZread "Proms 2007" with "Pajarillo" "Alma Llanera" and "Mambo"

I don't think a conductor has to be a composer to be transcendental in music. The greatest conductors in history have not been composers. Yet, Gustavo has indeed composed several small pieces; he did it whe he was in the orchestra, for his other musician friends.

@JorgeJulioPerez First;I want to clear out that I live in Caracas, I know what I'm talking about when I speak of Venezuela.I will do something that is strange for the people from "the Revolution" which is argue my opinions with some facts and not only basing myself in the past and other's mistake. 1) The national orchestra system was createdover 30 years ago; not under any revolutionary government so the argument that the "poor" were excluded is a lie. You tube doesnt allow me to keep writing

Culture has been hurt, freedom of expression and arts are every day less and less important for this government... Dudamel is a very talented Venezuelan, but he is not a success from this government...

En verdad que el ni idea de lo que es talento, Dudamel Dirije sin partitura unas piezas de mas de 1 hora, eso se llama talento compa, gustele a quien le guste y en todo el mundo es admirado y considerado un maestro, y no es justo que en su propio pais venga un resentido social a despotricar y a meterlo en una licuadora de politica sucia, si el es musico deberia sentirse orgulloso que tenemos en nuestro pais un talento de ese tamaño. ORGULLO VENEZOLANO!!!!

I don't think a conductor has to be a composer to be transcendental in music. The greatest conductors in history have not been composers. Yet, Gustavo has indeed composed several small pieces; he did it whe he was in the orchestra, for his other musician friends.

@JorgeJulioPerez First;I want to clear out that I live in Caracas, I know what I'm talking about when I speak of Venezuela.I will do something that is strange for the people from "the Revolution" which is argue my opinions with some facts and not only basing myself in the past and other's mistake. 1) The national orchestra system was createdover 30 years ago; not under any revolutionary government so the argument that the "poor" were excluded is a lie. @JorgeJulioPerez My friend, Venezuela is truly going through a great process of change...but for worst! Dudamel is from the programm that Master Abreu started 30 years ago. Culture has been hurt, freedom of expression and arts are every day less and less important for this government... Dudamel is a very talented Venezuelan, but he is not a success from this government...

En verdad que el ni idea de lo que es talento, Dudamel Dirije sin partitura unas piezas de mas de 1 hora, eso se llama talento compa, gustele a quien le guste y en todo el mundo es admirado y considerado un maestro, y no es justo que en su propio pais venga un resentido social a despotricar y a meterlo en una licuadora de politica sucia, si el es musico deberia sentirse orgulloso que tenemos en nuestro pais un talento de ese tamaño. ORGULLO VENEZOLANO!!!!
