Ducky's 1600LB '88 CRX SI - (TCR) Track Car Review
Hey, Friends! Welcome back to another episode of Track Car Review! In this video we have Ducky and his super lightweight, '88 Honda CRX SI. He's been tracking cars for several years now and he currently uses this chassis to simply enjoy his time on track with friends. Tune in as we dig into the specifics of the car and learn more about him as a seasoned driver!

Brake boost delete.. full exhaust, something better than oem suspension, i ran eibachs sport suspension and it handled great at road America! And tires!! Definitly tires help! Maybe some aero.. I also upgraded my cams and had a very mild tune… was the best time ever!

I just got my 91 crx 6 months ago and basically wanna build the car for canyon and track . I’m currently working on my suspension components and from someone who has nobody to rely on for information and guidance, ( I heavily rely on KZread) whenever I get confronted by difficulties your videos makes me go on and I’m very thankful for what you do. Keep up the good work and keep inspiring people like me.

question for Ducky Im 67 years old and absolutely love racing Ive never raced legally before and wanted to start. I can afford a Porsche 911 but Ducky says I should start with something basic. What other advice could be given before jumping into a high dollar money pit ?

It is always a good idea to start with something more basic, but if you have the means to rip a Porsche on track, then by all means, do it! lol Just be mindful that consumables will be A LOT more. For example, tires for my Civic are around $120-ish a piece. Tires for a 911 GT3 are roughly $400+ a piece. If you happen to get something with carbon ceramic brakes, those are roughly $2k a piece. A PIECE. My rotors cost me about $30 a piece lol.
What track you go to?
Can someone help me get the dimensions for the dash on a crx, trying to get the curve for the windshield but cutting a template takes to long and I can’t seem to find anything online🤷🏽
