For future reference use clear nail polish in drilled out holes to keep from rusting 👌🏻

I like the stock lip better than that duckbill. Lol. The carbon fiber trunk will look amazing though.

First, keep doing what you do man congrats on the subs. I’d be down for some more bike content or Moto vlog. I’m in the same boat like u car guy and bike gang. I enjoy both content. Maybe first oil change on bike spark plug or a general maintenance vid on the bike would be dope. None the less much love.

Did you have to paint that duck bill I tried looking for it but they don’t have paint match?

I"m planning on the carbon fiber trunk deck and wing for my wrx. That and the new oversized carbon fiber hood scoop .

Hows the paint did that rust come off? Afterwards??

Thank you for sharing. I have to replace mine. I used a ton of gorilla tape with the 3m tape.

I use metal rescue rust remover gel it works really well and it's safe on paint, they sell it at autozone.

Looks way better without the huge duck bill. I did a trunk swap with a sti owner and I’m gonna eventually go back to stock so I can get a small duck bill. Can’t wait to see the new one.

I have the stock twin of your car. Was considering that spoiler or maybe an OLM one but now I think I'll just stick with the cheapo stick on gurney flap. I became an adult when I bought this car and am pretty nervous about resale.

Tip for next time, use some fishing line to get the spoiler off, slice through the 3m that way. Some good polish will get those rust marks off.

I like the stock and the duckbill I swapped my STi trunk and wing for the stock on mine because I like it better not a fan of big spoilers... I hope you don’t go that route your setup was so clean with that duckbill

I had to remove my vortex generator because it was starting to peel up in a couple spots, so I spent probably 4 1/2 hours getting all of the 3M tape off the top of my car as well as getting it completely off the generator itself haha.

subaru has a 5 year rust protection on the body take it and see what they see doesnt hurt

Glad you dumped that duckbill, didn't look good at all, S209 spoiler or the factory lip with a perrin/subispeed gurney flap is the way to go.

Watching you use "Instant Detailer" to remove dirt & grime (especially that much) makes me cringe. But hey, its your paint. I would recommend a hose (preferably a pressure washer) and a proper auto wash soap. When you wipe heavy dirt with a dirty towel your destroying your paint job. And a heat gun is the way to go for removing 3M tape. Just pulling it off is also damaging your paints finish. You may not see it immediately, but you will eventually.

Get a clay bar and clay it

How could one not see those metal parts on the bottom of the spoiler before installing and not expect those to rub the paint right off the car..... here let me tape this metal to my paint and hope for the best... come on...

Lol use a heat gun/hair dryer when you are removing adhesive. Comes right off lol. Struggle city up in this vid
