Great review! And as an owner of a Streetfighter 1098S i couldn't agree more about your carbon fiber comments. When you pay so much money for a premium motorcycle it is unacceptable to come with cheap plastic stuff. And this is something they understood at Ducati and did with all the older "S" versions of their motorcycles. Until now...

It is still a bike intended for high speeds but without fairings, aka a factory streetfighter and that means the bike will feel a bit cumbersome and heavy under slow pacing like stuck in traffic and so on. A bike designed to be a street bike from the start is what one should buy if one want a nimble street bike. Bikes such as mt09, superduke, duke and so on are preferable over something like a s1000r, mt10, tuonov4, streetfighter 4s.

Folks, just adding my two cents; the 'winglets' really don't make any sense on a hyper-naked bike. I spoke with Ducati and they even said they are issuing a 'delete winglet' package. Some of my mates have already taken them off and I think the bike looks better (except the mounting holes, which Ducati is going to fix). Today, if you order a Streetfighter, you can 'opt-out' of the winglets and it should look clean.

I don't know About cruise control, I own a 2017 Touno since it was brand new and never used the cruise Also, I don't think comparing it to the superduke would be a good measurement if it's worth the 20k or not. It's all about the rider and his preference I personally Don't like the v2 engines on sport bikes it feels like riding a heavy supermoto. I like the v2 engines exclusively on the cruisers and other not performance-oriented bikes. Even if you give me super duke for free I won't be riding it, let's not mention picking it over the SF but that doesn't mean it's a bad bike or the SF is better it's just my own riding preference.

Owned 2016,1.0 with a Rottweiler Stage-5 kit, yes it had wicked torque, but what it lacked was an exhaust note, top end power, bike was too heavy and handled like a brick!! Sorry this V-4 is a masterpiece of engineering and the handling is superb!! Reason why this bike Rocketed up Pikes Peak in record time. Where was KTM that day ?

@@michaelj.kastner5165 The 2020 SDR went on a huge diet. Look at Shiv's channel for a comparison on the dyno between the V4 SF and the 2020 SDR. The SF only makes about 10 hp more but the SDR just destroys in HP and torque all the way up to about 10k. In the midrange the SDR just stomps the SF but a much bigger margin then the 10 HP the SF pulls it at peak. I am not a KTM fan boy but I seriously rethinking my order for the V4 SF. KTM underrated the heck out of the motor for this year. I can't believe there is no cruise or a fuel gauge on the Ducati. Cruise as saved me so many tickets I don't even want to think about it. No fuel gauge is just idiotic if you plan to ake any trips, especially with such a tiny tank. Glad you love your SF but the SDR might be a lot better than you think. I have 2 Ducatis in the garage now and wanted the Panigale but just too uncomfortable for a daily rider. The SDR just might be a better option for a lot of people. Everytime I take my Ducatis in for service it makes my BMWs look almost free to service by comparison.
