Nice review Phil and now subscribed. I have owned several Ducatis over the years and now have a Panigale 1299s which is incredible. A fuel gauge and cruise control are great additions to a bike but Ducati is a hardcore race brand - always has been and always will be and I don't think you will ever see these things on one of their high end sports bikes. The Ducati V4 engine was a MotoGP prototype only a very few years ago and that is why people buy these bikes. It's an ownership experience like no other and speaking personally, when the fuel light comes on (which is quite often :)) I pull in to a petrol station and I'm too busy enjoying the experience of riding such an incredible machine to worry about the lack of a fuel gauge. Remember too that this kind of bike is not a motorway mile muncher so cruise control would be pretty redundant albeit, a nice rest once in a while for your hands! Keep up the good work.

Thanks for commenting and subscribing! I agree with you. Ducati have certainly produced an awesome engine that’s for sure, one which definitely has been dominating bike racing this year. Saying all that, I do know a couple of people with Streetfighters who have gone touring on them. Once you own it for a while I’m sure you get a good idea of fuel consumption! 😁 My next video will be on the Panigale V4S, I hope you enjoy that one! 👊

Great video Phil , London looks a nightmare for driving to me !!! Ducati looks amazing love the Panigale not to sure about the streetfighters radiators cowling be better black than the silver in my view !! I liked the small tour of londons sites 👍👍

I just bought one 3 weeks ago at fist I was little worried about the riding position because I usually ride my M109R but now I absolutely love the bike.

I have to say that I really enjoyed your down to earth everyday type of review a lot! Can you do a comparison to the Panigale? I fear it is geared too high to squeeze some fun out on the road.

@@TheAdventuresofPhilJones I honestly think that such a comparison might be as useful as a superbike or nakedbike shootout. The reason for this is that one might already have decided on the manufacturer. I for example have ridden the S1000RR and the Aprilia Tuono 1100 Factory. The Aprilia rides awesome but the newest model seems to use a lot of cheap plastics. On the other hand I know the DDC of the RR and I don‘t trust it anymore. You can‘t even swap it for a conventional set of forks. So this is why I think I‘ll get a Ducati. Now the only thing left is a comparison of the gearing for the road and the seating position between the hyper naked and the superbike :)

Thanks. It may sound weird but, even though the bike is fantastic, still not having a fuel gage is a deal breaker for me. Ride safe !

Couldn't agree more, the lack of a petrol gauge and cruise control are the two things which put me off the Streetfighter as well. Ducati told me it's due to the shape of the tank that they can't have a fuel gauge but that's rubbish. The Elizabeth Tower looks spanking new and the cyclist almost looked spanking flat when the KTM headed towards it. If you want to review a Ducati Diavel 1260s, I happen to know the owner of the one in your video.

Hey! I was in two minds whether I should mention the fuel gauge but it is a big deal for many bikers and I am surprised Ducati haven’t fitted one to the Streetfighter. Apart from that, it is an incredible machine and a lot of fun. I’m looking forward to trying out the V2 sometime and if course, the Diavel. I love the one featured in my video, the colours look great and the owner does a great job looking after it for sure! 😊👍

Torn between the SFV4 or multistrada V4, I love the SF because of its looks and flex power but also love the Strada for long distance and comfort, only have the cash for one, but which 1... the nightmare continues.

That’s a tough one! 🤔 I agree with you the SF wins on looks but the Strada is perfect for touring. I’m actually working on a video about the Multistrada V4S which will be out very soon! Hopefully, that might help you with your decision?! 🤔👊

I’m not a spring chicken anymore put it that way, and I do suffer with lower back pain, so some bikes, especially sports bikes like the 1200 RR, finish me. Although the Streetfighter isn’t made for comfort, it’s made to have attitude, I could easily ride it all day without any issues. Would I own one? Yes!

I'm a mature guy too but if you want to ride the bike then buy one and do some stretches. Don't compromise on what you really want!

Do you mean which one do I prefer? That’s a difficult one as both bikes are totally different, the 1200 RS is much smoother but the V4 S has some serious attitude! Which one do you prefer? 👊

I decided to purchase a KTM 1290 Super Duke R because the Ducati Streetfighter V4 S doesn’t have cruise control.

Fair enough. I haven’t ridden the Super Duke yet, maybe I’ll add that to my list. I must admit I do love the look of the Streetfighter but wish it had a few extra’s! Enjoy your KTM! 😁👊
