Just love that V2 Ducati sound. The 1199 is my second Ducati which was my very first super sport. I’m in my early 50's so everyone was saying it was a bad choice for first sport bike, blokes my age need to flop into a comfy adventure bike blah blah. But so glad I got it. Been the most fun bike I have ever owned what a blast which is ironic that I really just got it because I always loved the look and sound of them. Now every weekend I’m off being a ratbag poppin wheelies everywhere. Last year I even road it down to Philip Island for MotoGP from Sydney. No problems with my back neck or wrists at all. I’m just lucky my old body happens to like the sport position much better than upright.

Yes I agree the Akrapovic exhaust should be standard. It is numbered but it seems like Ducati do that with every model lately!!! It is my 1st Ducati and I got the exhaust for about half what they charge at Ducati from buying it directly from Italy at WRS.IT so when I looked up the Marchesini M7RS wheels they were also half the price so it was a no brainer. I have the original competition in 2000 & 2001 the Honda VTR1000 SP1 as well and it is very similar in options that I customised so I had a proven set-up that I knew worked well on the road. @T2000 I thought the same for the V4, I probably would of got a V4S for the electronic suspension but straight away that bloody exhaust is a small fortune & revving a V4 to 16500rpm on the street is not going to happen. I love my 2015 Yamaha R1M and 2016 Kawasaki ZX-10R, they are both insanely fast and they don't need to be replaced. I have Woolich Racing AutoTune on both of them and it is very enjoyable learning and seeing the results from tuning the bike myself among the 1000's of other adjustments you can make with Woolich Racing. I have done 9500kms on my R1M and 65,000 on the ZX-10R. I ride the ZX-10R everyday in any weather and it is amazing, never ever had a problem with her. Very comfortable to ride. If the new model wasn't so ugly I would of got another ZX-10R, that is what made me look at the V2, then when the Bayliss was announced it wasn't much more for the extras & with my usual modifications it is sensational!!!!
