Ducati Panigale 899 | First Ride Review!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

My Merch - Motonosity.com/shop
I got my first ride on the Ducati Panigale 899! What a bike. Call it the budget Ducati sportbike 😂 Let's review it! Ducati has since replaced the 899 with its successor, the Panigale 959 with about 10 more horsepower. Just like the replaced the Panigale 1199 with the Panigale 1299. And then the V4. So many Panigales. Once you pop, you just can't stop.

    When you say vibration are you talking about the feeling through the chassis at idle or is it there and even more pronounced during riding? Is it the feedback from the suspension? When I rode the 899 I felt that it was too top heavy for me and faaaaaaar too hot due to the pipe routing. My butt was in serious pain from the heat after a 25 min ride in the hills.

    Is self-maintenance on a Duc as horrible as people say? I figure it's just like any other bike, and everyone I've talked to says that they're 100x more reliable than they were a decade ago.

  • @sheparddoran2366

    @sheparddoran2366

    5 жыл бұрын

    @@dillonhennion5859 here's the thing, it's very different from other bikes and very needy, but more fun to work on than something like my gsxr. So here's the scoop on testastretta superbikes. Valve adjustment and timing belts every 7500 miles or 2 years. They wanted $1600 at my dealer for that, and on these bikes you can't just skip that stuff. On a Japanese four it's more like $500 every 14,000 miles, and often they'll be in spec the first time. So basically, I'll talk people into buying one for the riding experience all day, but i wont lie to you on maintenece. Even diy, belts are almost 200, just the shims were $200 (on the gixxer you just exchange for free) and you need a lot og special tools. In other words, they are much much better to work on than people say (testastrettas at least. No idea on supetquadro) but if anything it's more expensive to work on than they say. So only get one if you're really ready for all that.

I previously had my eye on the daytona but people have said the ducati 899 is less extreme riding position and more comfortable for street use, I love the daytonas sound especially the wailing scream when you rev it up, but also the low V8 muscle sound of the ducati 899 has been growing on me... I certainly love the ducati looks much more than the daytona, and it feels a bit more comfortable I think. @@dakoolguy111 Well I can't comment on the other bikes so this might be a bit bias, but: I think get the Ducati without a doubt. I use it as a daily and I have had no issues with the riding position. The sound is really up to your own preference and taste, but the 899 low-tone honestly sounds like thunder and I think it's one of the best sounding stock exhausts. Having been around Yamahas, KTMs, Kawasakis, I think it sounds the best by a long shot. And of course Ducatis have to be the best looking bikes on the market. Nope it isn’t. Look up track times or 1/4 times and traps. Especially after basic mods and regearing a 750

    Having owned a 750 before my 959, to me it seems the 959 is faster 0-60/100 but the 750 feels faster above 100. Take that with a grain of salt since I have never raced against a 750, so it's just from personal experience

    This bike is not a communing bike to ride with jeans. Wear leathers and go to the track where she belongs to. It is build to go quick. Don't ride it on very hot days. I got it in silk white but only as second bike for lazy days to get a blast. Buy it and keep it 20 years in your garage. Profit.
