Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro Review, Jeff Ware

Фильм және анимация

The big mumma of the Ducati Multistrada family is the mighty Multistrada 1200 Enduro. With long travel suspension, a huge array of electronics, personalisation options and even tyre choice the Enduro can be customised to exactly what you want for serious off road adventure touring. We spent two weeks with the Multistrada 1200 Enduro, one week with a version fitted with the off road Rally tyres and one week with a version fitted with the more road suited Scorpion Trail II.

Hi mate, throttle response is good in all the other modes and settings, it's just a bit too steppy and abrupt for my liking in Sport mode but it os OK if you are riding hard, with a lot of throttle input. Touring mode is nice. It's hard to get a bike these days with a smooth initial throttle as Euro4 and current EFI plus Ride By Wire (still developing) means a smooth throttle is rare these days. I'd still ride the bike if I were you, it's got plenty of strong points as well. Cheers.

thanks for reply, i currently have KTM 990 SMT and the only thing i don't like about the bike is unpredictable throttle response, jerkiness when opening the throttle etc...i know no bike has it perfect (besides older bikes with carbs), but throttle response is more important to me than horsepower and other chart-bombing measurements :) how would you compare the throttle response to GS or KTM 1290 ?

Hi mate, I am yet to ride the latest GS but compared to the KTM, I say the jerkiness is about the same. Cheers.

Thank you for the video man!!! I have a question: how does the multi enduro compare to the BMW GSA ? I can’t decide between the two.

The difference is in the engine. The Duc has more top end speed - the BM is more mildly mannered. The BM is quicker to steer. Both can do everything. But it's really down to taste. I have ridden both the BM 1200 and the Duc - but prefer the latter - which is why I bought one.
