Sorry I missed the premier. That wiring diagram is intimidating...damn ground wire...path of least resistance....It's great to see continued progress on the Ducati!!!

Wouldn’t be a 90s Ducati without a steady stream of electrical issues!👊 Just changed out the rectifier in my ‘97 600ss. Hey it’s a crime that you don’t have 10x the subs - enjoying your videos - keep it up!

Thanks for the support. I watched all of your 600SS videos. It gave me motivation to get mine done. Hopefully it will be road ready in a week or two.

Electrical work does my head in and I recon you saved yourself a fortune being a sparky and finding that unconnected ground wire. Well done 👍🏻 looking forward to seeing the finished product.

That disconnected ground could of had me replacing more things than what was needed. Seen poor ground or disconnected grounds cause all sorts of havoc on motorcycles. Gets even worse when you have electronics involved.

I love electronics. Before I was vlogging, my channel has hundreds of videos on amp repairs and troubleshooting electronics. When I was a bike mechanic, I loved fixing electrical issues.

She is coming together nicely Matt! Always a great result when she fires up and runs smoothly! Looking forward to seeing her complete!

Some wiring diagrams need to be flushed down the toilet. I was lucky this time.

With the negative (i mean ground) connected that's a positive result 👌

Reminds me of the Ducati Monster M400, which was only available in Italy and Japan.

In the 90's, we had the 400SS available in Australia. Not many sold. They were two expensive for most learners and were quoted as being similar to a Kawasaki ZZR 250 in performance. Yet the Kwaka was half the price. If we had the LAMs laws when the monster 400 was first available in Japan, I bet we would have got it here too.

I am happy to have a go on older bikes that have no computer running them. I will not touch the Griso. Italian electrics run via a computer will always end in tears.

Hi Matt I know this is an old video but I’m having an issue like yours with indicators. Checked everything and it’s all good. The only thing is I don’t have the fuel pump hitched up. Because it runs on the same circuit as the indicators would that be why the indicators aren’t working?

If none of your indicators are working, I would check the flasher unit. Also make sure the ground wire (at the front of the bike ) has a good connection to the frame. Hope this helps.

@@RoadsOfOz i was having a same problem with a relay but now it solved, as of now i have an issue with start button, after pressing starter not activating, but if i give directly power supply it works

Mr Oz can u please check the property of diode witch is placed on connection to remote starting switch (diagram #32) Mine is burned completely(

They can be a pest. What you think is a problem could be the result of an electrical fault elsewhere on the bike. Seen that quite a few times.
