I was on my way out of town in Belfast after getting some groceries. Had ten mins to kill so i sat down on the benches across the road from the albert clock. Was a foreign guy drinking beside me smoking a rolly. I asked him could i trade him a beer for a rolly. He said yes and i asked him his story. He said his name was david and he was from Iran but he came here because they tryd to deport him from Liverpool. Went to Dublin where he said he "tricked his way into a mental home where they put images into his dreams". I dont know how he got out of their but they tryd to deport him from dublin. So He is now on the streets of belfast with serious mental problems. This guy did not seem ok and seemed to have a very tenuous grasp of reality. I felt sorry for the guy but i was far more concerned for the school kids that had just got out and the mums with kids walking around. I couldnt help but think how its utter insanity how easily these people are travelling between countries undocumented, basically on the run and our govs seem to be funding it.

I love the idea that the young Pakistani lad left his Muslim homeland because he wanted to follow a different form of Islam converting from Sunni to Shia. But rather than go to a Shia Muslim country like Lebanon, Yemen, Bahrain, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, the UAE, and Qatar he came to ....... Ireland. I'm struggling to see the logic on this one.

The way it works is they call a referendum when their paymasters want to change something, and then they lie and cajole the public into voting in the direction that they deem to be ethical and righteous and not at all self serving sic. What you are suggesting would be calling a referendum on a thing they would deem unfavorable but the public may want.the only time they would have one of those is when public outcry gets to the point that they have to appease the masses by calling a referendum

Roderick offered free own door accommodation , free medical cards, generous social welfare. We holidayed in Edinburgh last summer, did the castle tour and the royal yacht Britannia. Had a great time. We have family originally from Mayo living in Birmingham a long time now, no talk of moving home. I am confused, how long does Roderick O Gormless intend to feed us this absolute bullshit……

As a Turkish, I came to Ireland with a student visa and I spent about 15 thousand euros to get this visa. My goal was to learn English and advance my career, but I see that although English is the main language here, everyone prefers to speak their native language due to the increasing number of immigrants and refugees. Accommodation is very expensive and they charge very high fees for ridiculous rooms. I don't feel safe at all and I'm scared, especially when walking in certain areas. If a country fails on refugees, it is doomed to go backwards. While I am trying to hold on here as an educated and equipped person, why does someone who just came through the door illegally have more rights than me? The government must urgently address this issue. As a foreigner, I am disturbed by refugees.

Dublin has always been a bit rough. I used to live in the North Inner City and we got so tired of calling the police that we moved out to a different part of Dublin. One day my housemate was followed up to the front door and relieved of e400 (his rent) by a nice chap with a syringe. Another day I came home to find the front door kicked in and my other housemate's laptop gone. Another day we got a brick through the front window. Last summer I was helping a friend out at an art gallery in Temple Bar and all the streets and especially the alleyways were crawling with drug users, and I can confidently say 95% of them were locals. I know that because they were kicking lumps out of each other in front of the gallery and swearing in their Dublin accents, and scaring away all the tourists. I stopped a few of them from stealing bikes outside one day when the Garda actually came quickly. I saw another woman have her phone stolen. I saw another drug user get pulled out of an emergency exit by her hair by the bar manager. During that time an American tourist was put in intensive care by three local teenagers and, a couple of weeks ago, a Croatian tourist was beaten to death by some Irish lads for not speaking English. I'm not saying that these new arrivals all have good intentions and should be allowed in unchecked, absolutely not, but it's naive to blame all of Ireland's problems or crime on new arrivals. There was always plenty of it, with or without immigrants.

God help Ireland, I visited last year, accommodation prices were crazy for hotels, air bnb etc. Unfortunately I can't see a reason to go back to Ireland for holiday, I visited in 1999 and last year, what I saw was a country just about being overun by other nationalities, even iin the small places in the west coast iot was clearly evident. The reasons supplied don't sound like these people are under any direct threat in their own countries to me, financial regugees I think is really what is occuring. Good luck everyone.

As a Northern Irishman I must say there's nothing that screams "Irish" more than a gay Indian. You know that racist twat hates white people, hates all Irish? He wants to set up quotas to import gays and to import non-whites. He wants 1 million MORE migrants, non-white, non-Christian of course, to "boost" cities outside of Dublin. I've never heard anything so monstrous. We are too white and too Christian, we have to be diluted by gays, Muslims and non-whites. Send the gays to Amsterdam and the Muslims to Mecca. An extra million people in Ireland is 20% of the population. It makes my blood boil
