Jameson whiskey Distillery would be a more traditional tour rather than Teelings. Across from St stephens green is St Stephens green shopping center, the building is beautiful inside. Then walk down Grafton street to see street entertainers. Another good thing to do would be to go on the dart in the opposite direction to Howth, it’s brings you to Bray which is a fabulous seaside town. There’s a great coastal view along the way too. Thank you for making a positive video on Dublin 🇮🇪☘️

As a capital city, Dublin City centre is a disgrace. Just off O’Connell Street a huge amount of derelict buildings, very few quality shops, loads of coffee shops and diners. During the day homeless people living in tents (Lord Edward Street) Capel Street and Abbey Street just decrepit. Dublin City centre is broken, and at night, a no go area.

I think you're taking what we said totally out of context? Of course Irish history goes back further than that. We're not claiming that. Just speaking of Dublin as a city. People who inhabited the island during Bronze and Iron Ages didn't build such "cities". If you look back at the history, you'll find that Waterford City claims to be the OLDEST CITY in Ireland, and it was founded in 914 AD by Vikings from Norway. That's not so long before Dublin was founded

@@worldwildhearts When were you last over here? Because over the last 5-10 years it's got really bad (it's mostly down to poverty - Austerity from the corrupt and inept government). Of course, it depends on where you go too. Just recently though, the American Embassy issued a warning to American citizens telling them to be very careful in Dublin City. We've had a series of tourists being attacked in broad daylight.

Also didn't speak to any other tourist who said it was dangerous. Maybe the crime is further away from the downtown area? I think you'd be shocked if you go to American cities, there's homelessness and tents in the city center streets and we've felt way more uncomfortable

  • @robnecronomicon1570

@@worldwildhearts I can't speak for American Cities, although, I am aware of some very bad ones. We don't really have visible tent cities. The real problem with Dublin is poverty which breeds crime and drugs. There are some major tourist streets that you are literally taking a high-risk walking down (especially at night). Although, some assaults have taken place during the day and because they are tourists it's making the Irish government very uncomfortable as it sheds a true light on how shitty things are here. I left Dublin and moved to rural Ireland and I have no regrets. :)
