Techno is just a form of EDM. I love techno too but it can't be superior/inferior to EDM. Techno is a subgenre of Electronic Dance Music.

R B P I'm sure you understood what I mean. I can't deny techno is part of edm by the moment that is all electronic music but I'm also sure you know that sadly nowadays edm is known as this played by people like garrix, guetta, Steve Aoki wich should be underlined as the mainstream part of edm while techno needs a clear distinction having an older, larger identity being born in the early 80s when the mainstream edm was really far to come and many of his main characters weren't even born. And I'm happy that event like tomorrowland opened to techno, they probably understood that the crowd of early years was growing and getting bored of mainstream and discovered somewhere else techno music helping it to finally gain the light it needs and lose the dated adjective of underground that doesn't really fit anymore. It would be absurd to consider something underground applying to its "basement origins" also an idea of something hidden from the big public by the moment that techno moved, move and will move much more bodies than mainstream edm did, do and will ever do

if you say "Techno is a Sub genre of EDM" that infers that EDM was there before Techno.if we say EDM is just a meta genre of all electronic Dance Music and not a genre by itself...fine.but if you define EDM as what its commonly associated with ( Project x type of Music - progressive hardstyle crap) then you couldnt be further from the truth....its a commercialized abomination of real electronic Music...YES i said REAL electronic Music...im a Music nazi when it Comes to EDM.

yanus29 lol thanks for the suggestion bro ill check that out, basically i started listening electronic from trance (TL2012 aftermovie to be exact), Anjuna became my actual first love for which im thankful and over time my taste developped. I adore anything that sounds good to me, mostly anything melodic n not the weird mainstream stuff (no hate but doesnt suit my taste). I def wonder wtf was i doing before 2012 :D Peace :)

Such a Monster set! I loved listening to Dubfire with Sharam when they were Deep Dish! I recently heard that they are getting back together and may have an album coming out!!
