What a privilege to live in age where we can share the view from an eagle’s back. What’s amazing is how far eagles can see. The eagle could actually see that guy’s arm movements from the top of the building while we couldn’t even see a human was there at all.

I don't think eagle could see the arm movement or the man for that matter from the top of the building or even after quite a while in flight. Eagle realized where the man would be when it saw the red square (which even we humans could see) You can make out a sharp difference in the way it flies after it spotted the red square.. Before spotting it, it was on locating mode... After spotting it, it was on locked in and approaching mode....

I love how the eagle sees his owner and speeds up his decent "Falcon One locked on and coming in for a landing"

@@clashroyalechampion Look man, (any)religion is not meant to be taken literally. The words in the scriptures are all metaphors . The reader is intended to scientifically and ethically decode those metaphors and oxymorons into a positive point of view. So, many such metaphors are present in every religion.. And different people , within those religions perceive a metaphor in different ways..... These different perspectives of different people, among the same religion lead to formation of sects. A sect is basically a group of people within a particular religion, who appreciate a certain interpretation of a metaphor. When a group of individuals interpret different metaphors in a similar fashion, or based on the interpretation of a more subtle metaphor, it leads to a chain of thought. That chain of thought , when adhered to by many people , is termed as a 'religion'. So, when they say , God made humans, or Jesus is the son of God, or there is only one God, or the ultimate teacher is the God, or you are God, etc., etc. They don't literally mean it. There is a subtle message hidden behind it- like a riddle. They just want people to decode it. Because, if they just state what they want to say, it might lead to fanaticism. ( so , those people who take religion literally , are either fanatics , or aethiests. Again, two different viewpoints.) P.S: aethism is a religion in itself. Because all their thoughts and interpretations are based on a previous thought or interpretation that 'there is no God'. (Which is a thought in itself.) This thought again is taken positively and negatively. Those who take it negatively, are the aethiests, who say, 'there is no God' Those who take it positively , say,"there is no God. I am everything. Only I exist. So, I am God"- these people are the the vedantists( original form of Hinduism). See, one thought, so many aspects, so many divisions, branching out of a singular thought. That's what. they want to say, when they claim 'God made the world' That 'God' refers to the primary thought. It branches out with varying opinions causing diversity. That agglomeration of different thoughts, they call the 'world' The origin of religion is in that statement.( you may interpret it any other way as well). So scientific,( if you think about it) isn't it?

Our culture believes that eagles do not see how humans do . Its gets pretty traditional, but how I was explained as a kid, (for example: they see life energies and frequencies, like one of those super heroes. Like on assassins creed, how ezio can use his vision to single out a specific energy/person. something like that). lol Idk if that true, but I always thought that was pretty neat.

I just watched the documentary about this event and I must congratulate the team that made it possible. As for the Burj Khalifa skyscraper, it was a disappointment to learn that the last 220m high has no elevator, no stairs and even the doors are so tiny that the normal eagle box wouldn't go through the doors.

The trainer on the video is french and i just saw a documentary on a french channel about him. The dude keep french endengered eagles, make them mate, train them to fly ( because non wild eagles don't know how to fly ) and realease them into the wild. And he does this kind of video to raise money for the refuge.

I've just been directed to this site - thanks for uploading it. It is awesome what creatures have been designed to do. This eagle was 'launched' from the top of the electronics tower of the Burj Kahlifa and can be seen to circle the tower getting its bearings - looking for familiar landmarks, etc. It then appears to have a good idea what it is going to do because it circled over the Burj Park for about 3 mins. before deciding to dive - obviously enjoying its time on the wing. Then it spots the large red square on the ground in the area of the Burj Park - where the annual DSF Market OTB is held. This area is about 100m from the Burj Kahlifa. The highlight for me was the bird's eye view during its power dive. This bird looks like a golden eagle - these eagles can reach up to 150 mph (250 kph) when diving for prey. The Burj Kahlifa is 830 m high and the power dive took 20 secs. so the dive speed probably averaged about 90 mph (150 kph). I hope it gets plenty of opportunity to fly in freedom - a pity if it were to remain caged.
