I am glad you enjoyed the video! I would give yourself at least 2 hours or even a full day if you want to visit the Waterpark!
Where do you have to get on those abra boats from And how do u book one?

If you go to Old Dubai creek, you'll see them parked along the side. Just go up to one of the boats and chat to them.

How do you get a visa for the layover? And how much does it cost?

I didn’t need to a visa to enter. Best to check out the Emirate’s website for entry requirements as each country differs.
How were able to check into your hotel so early?

If the room wasn’t occupied the night before or if the hotel isn’t fully booked, there is a chance for an early check-in! Always worthwhile letting the hotel know if you’ll be arriving early, just in case they have a room available. It won’t be guaranteed but definitely let them know.

If you want a guarantee early check-in, then yes book 2 nights. Otherwise, I just try my luck and hope they have a room available if I arrive early. I usually will let the hotel know I am arriving early in the morning just to give them some notice. They do try to accommodate if the room is available.
