An interview with Duane Graham, owner of Summer Lake Hot Springs near Paisley Oregon. Summer Lake Hot Springs is a two hour drive south of Bend near Paisley Oregon. If you go, bring your own food to prepare or eat in Paisley seven miles away. You might bring some water also, not everyone likes the taste of the Summer Lake water. I visited these hot springs about 4 years ago with my niece. I really enjoyed myself and it is steeped in history.
I lived in paisley worked on the zx. Ranch around 1975 we went to the bathhouse at least once a week good time
Been up and down Hwy 31 many times during my driving career, and love Summer Lake. Desolate, beautiful, otherworldly...totally different scenery than western Oregon. You'd have to be a particular kind of person to live there. But if the nukes ever go off, Summer Lake would be the place to be.

has anyone been there recently?
My family would have an annual camp out/reunion in Paisley during the 70's & 80's. I don't know if you've heard the name, but the Kellers have a lot of history there. I'm glad to see how much you've improved the property as the last time I visited in 1993, the facility looked to be on its last legs. I pray that Eastern Oregon will not be destroyed by the Trump administration and its "drill baby drill" mentality.
