Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
In this video I show you the steps I took to build two vise stands. This is a repeat video but for entertainment purposes I thought what the heck. I'll shoot and post it. As always, feedback is welcome. Hope you enjoy the video.

Great work! They look awesome. I drive an 18 wheeler for work. I seen one of these 18 wheeler hubs sitting around the shop and the mechanic let me bring one home. I thought it would be a perfect bench grinder stand. Will be making it soon.
Great work, l did mine with RSJ, half inch top welded on, the sunk in 15" concrete, no vibration at all.
Great work !! You really go the extra mile to do a neat job . Keep it up and God bless !!!

I just adjusted the audio, I thought it was fun, didn't bother me a bit, I was too wrapped up in welding skills. I have welding equipment but need lots of practice! GREAT STUFF
I congratulate you, you are a great cutter, welder and you have good ideas, ideas that serve.

Hey Chris, thank you for the kind words. I enjoy working in the shop and sharing with others. Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching.
I have been scrounging to find the scraps to build two similar stands for my shop. One for the grinder and one for the bench top drill press. All, in all, really nice.
Nice Job! I'm in the process of assembling the materials to build a stand like your "H" beam stand, but mine will be for a bench size drill press. As far as my big 6 inch Vise, I got lucky. The Mining Company that I worked for, when they shut down operations and dismantled their big Welding Shop, I got the stand that their large Vise had been mounted on.

Awesome! I've got some good stuff the same way. Usually when others have moved places of work. Thanks for watching.
I learned something today with the transfer punch trick. That was an awesome build, too. I liked the fact that it was completed with paint and everything. Wishing you much success in all your endeavors. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and skill. Aloha!

Sorry I missed your video of making the vise stand they look really good I have to find the video because I would like to make one keep up the good work bill
Nice job! Thanks for sharing! 🤙🏻
wow they look great. your skills with the torch and welding are wonderful. The spray can though can be improved. I suggest Klascoat two part epoxy paint with a spray gun from Harbor Freight. I shoot rc airplanes with Klascoat and its impervious to gasoline and glow fuel. Great Stuff. Keep up the good work! When reading the comments I can't believe people and how mean they can be?

Hey Rhshel, thank you for the compliments. I'll take a look at the paint. We just got a harbor freight here. Good to know the fuel doesn't bother the paint. I love RCs stuff. I raced trucks and buggies for several years; many year ago though. Losi and Traxxas were my two vehicles. Never really got in to planes but I had some friends who were. Awesome stuff. Takes a lot of skill to fly. yea, the comments are bad at times. The internet is full of trolls :-) Thanks for the comments and watching!

Hey Ernie, thank you. That is a great find, hard to find those at a decent price for an every day joe. I've found them in the past but everyone wanted about the new price for them. Glad your going to do it your self. That is music to my ears. I am going to do a video of the vice stand where I do some upgrades. (Tool holder, wheels) Should be a good video. Thanks for watching. Hey Thanks Jose Esposito - These really are great tools. I seem to use them almost ever time in am in the shop. I am loving that I made them higher than your typical work bench too. I don't have to bend over so much and I can see things because they are higher. Plus I can quickly move them over to the door for more sun light. Thanks for watching!!

Thank you Marcelo. I am unsure of the measurement. I will check the "H" beam and message you back.
Great Job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im making one using an old brake disc from a Chevy C-60 truck. However im gonna add a plate to the top that will accept my tubing bender and a mighty brake to bend sheet metal with locking them down with some old very strong action clamps I have, so I can interchange those two faster and easier. I drilled 4 holes through the rotor surface and have drilled holes in my thick concrete floor of my shop and added some hefty deep anchors in the same drill pattern. I added 2 wheels I picked up at Tractor Supply and added a handle to the post. The wheels sit about 2" off the surface of the floor and all I will have to do is tilt it back for the wheels to contact the floor and I can roll it out of my fabrication area when not in use. I will secure it in its spot when using it with 4, 1" grade 8 bolts. I bought 4, 1" 1/2 drive impact sockets on the very cheap at Harbor Freight tools and welded them to the bolt heads and, will use my impact gun to fasten it to the floor. This video you made was the inspiration for my project. Thanks your awesome!

Nice builds. I made pocket type, square tubes in floor to hold them. Next time you use a socket for centering, maybe drop a couple nuts in socket, might get it close without fiddling. I have a lathe, wouldnt be without it now.
@PtfabNet
7 жыл бұрын
Thanks Frank. That is a great idea about the nuts. I wish I had a lathe, that is on the wish list. Everything I find is too big. Found a nice lathe for only $1000 buck and it was 30 minutes away. Only problem is it was 10 feet long. Next time I guess. Thanks!
I just bolted mine to my bench, took me 5 minutes and my truck still has rear brakes! JK! Looks good man, I could see many great uses for one of those.

Nice build. Is there an advantage to bolting to the brake drums as opposed to just welding on to them? I would think that drilling 10 large holes is a PITA. How many occasions would there be where you would actually unbolt the brake drums from the risers?
Good and Neat work
