Once again a excellent video! Everyone of your videos makes me want to get a bike even more. I am saving for one. But following your advice of saving slow but sure and not buying on payments. I plan on having one this summer. Keep up the superb work!

Yes! I knew the widow would win! I was a little unsure about the 450, but with weight and mods I had a feeling the drz would come out victorious. By the way... your videos are getting absolutely incredible man!

Fresh sub here, I just got done watching ALL your tips videos and have to say, it's cool you made that as I learned a ton of valuable info and it is refreshing to see you are more about the journey and not the destination(enjoying the love of MotoVlogging and not focusing on the notoriety) I'm the same way, but I'm glad to have learned from you. Your humble attitude is very inspiring and refreshing and not just being a kiss ass here Anyway.that's a nice KLR. I love old big thumpers as well. I got an 06 DR650 that is motarded. It's been doing my channel well. People may pick on its weight and how old/outdated it is but some fast twisties changes their tune real quick.

MotardSteve Thanks man! I LOVE a DR 650 and hope to do more testing on one someday. You're right, with some grippy tires those things will sing in the twists :) Motovlogging is more of a therapy to me than anything else. Talking to nobody in particular while engaging in a favorite activity is just good for the soul. When you get to do that and make friends/meet people that you have never met otherwise, then it's just a winning combo :)

eveRide ADV I couldn't agree more. I've said it once before that MotoVlogging is just one of those therapeutic things because you get to talk about the things on your mind and enjoy the passion of riding all at once. I've even made a few good friends which wouldn't be possible otherwise due to geography so this is definitely a community I want to stay involved in. I plan to get some dirt trim for the DR once $$$ gets better. I hear they make brilliant adventure bikes just like the KLR. On the flip side I wonder if anyone has motarded one.

I got a DRZ400E here in Australia they come out road ready/worthy straight from the factory along with the 3x3 mod more aggressive cams and the keihin fcr39mm flat slide carburettor with bigger jetting stock is a 165 main jet

I've raced the widow before, so that was no surprise. My surprise came from the WR450! I really wasn't sure the widow could hold it off. That was a ton of fun and even though it wasn't exactly scientifical it really does show exactly where all of those bikes stand.

That was fun! Thank you eveRide for putting that little sporting event together! I'll admit I thought the WR450F would win. But I'm not so surprised about the Black Widow win... While the WR-F is a worthy opponent, BW is after all a 400 (not giving up a lot of displacement), and most people just don't understand what a great motor the DRZ has. While I haven't had occasion to own one, I've been infatuated since they first came out in 2000. That motor is amazing. The whole bike is, even in stock form. Way more dirt worthy than most of the old school dual sports (XR-L, XT, DR), while still being just as streetable. Only the WR250R compares, and the DRZ's got a far better motor. The DRZ only begins to fall short in dirt worthiness when compared to the likes of an EXC or Beta RS. And then add the Mrduhfactor touch... MDF graced not just the motor, but the suspension as well. Dirt and street worthy... Yeah, I'd love to take the BW for a spin. I'll bet she's a great ride! Thank you again, sir, for another fine video!

I've been thinking about motovlogging but I'm 14 and don't have a liscense yet (obviously) but i still have a lot of places that I can explore on my klx300 legally around where I live. I was wandering what kind of profit do you get out of motovlogging? Can't wait for another video! -james

ITFoffical Ah man the profit from making videos definitely isn't there yet. Right now I still can't pay my bills from motovlogging/youtubing, and I run a few different channels. Things are getting better, though. The day that I can pay all the bills from just videos will be an awesome day... but right now I'll make $1000 a month if I'm lucky, and adsense is just a fraction of that. I wouldn't start motovlogging for money, motovlog because you love riding!

I agree. Your 450 is a beast

I would have guessed it was a draw with the Black Widow and the WR450F, which seems to be the case ( the 450F had a rough start with that almost-wheelie at the beginning). Still, it says a lot to what a modified DRZ can do. Did the remodel of your bike include any engine mods (BBK/stroker) or just the stock E cams and a tuned FCR carb? :-D

ladyeclectic Funny enough the engine was all left stock. I do want to do a rematch against a WR450, though. I hopped on a newer one on a recent ride with friends in Moab and that thing felt REALLY fast!

Yeah buddy! While we're on the topic do you know if the tractor has been re jetted ? I've got some popping upon when i let off the throttle. Has an after market exhaust. That's it.

msrphoto I believe it was just cleaned... pull that thing out and spray it down... if it hasn't done that in the past it probably just needs a little TLC.

Cleaned it 2000 miles ago. Today I put in a plunger style choke www.ebay.com/bhp/cv-choke and adjusted the mixture screw 2.75 out and it helped quite a bit. That choke rocks. No more of that plastic housing to mess with. Next, the re-jet. Wish I had a stock exhaust. lol

Man! I was surprised "like most" to see the wr450 left behind!

Guy on the 450 got a really really bad start. He would've stomped everybody if he got a good run. The DRZ400E woulda been hot on his tail though!

Unless the wr450 had a blown motor, there is no way a drz would beat it.

well, the trick is in the tuning. i rode with a group of KLR owners once. a guy with a bike same year as mine with an aftermarket muffler learned that the bike must be tuned. lol. mine has more weight on it and is about 1/2 a quart from being a two stroke.... and i dusted him. can hardly hear mine on the gopro. hahaaaa --- wait... thats like bragging about two turtles racing... lol

I watch Secret Garden Projects DR videos and marvel at the guys riding. I am new to DS so I feel like a am wrestling an 800lbs gorilla the second I get into anything sketchy.
