Dual Degree at Stanford & Harvard, MBA Application Tips, & Journaling Your Why: Gabriela Forter
In this episode of Cherie's Corner, I speak with my Stanford MBA classmate, Gabriela. She’s a dual admit to Harvard and Stanford MBA programs. She talks about choosing Stanford and also still ending up going to Harvard, not for her business degree, but for her Masters in Public Policy. Despite having a successful career in consulting at Deloitte and product management at Meta, she still finds value in pursuing two masters degrees; she explains her reasoning and thinking behind this decision. She also gives advice to people who are currently in their application process. Finally, Gabriela is one of the most mindful people I know and we discuss how journaling and meditation led her to figure out her career goals and deal with imposter syndrome and not feeling FOMO. Let’s get started.

Happy birthday Cherie! As someone who is 22, in India and currently working in Consulting (at BCG), your content (Instagram and now podcast) has really helped me understand how to go about my MBA aspirations (Stanford is the dream ofc). Looking forward to more

Killing it Cherie 👌
Hey Cherie! Love your content both Insta and this new KZread long form, keep killing it! Unsolicited piece of feedback: i love the setting when you interview your guests, simple, clean and ´real’, however I was a bit underwhelmed by the initial 2 min where you introduce the guest. Especially because it is the first part of the video I would think about doing it in an equally engaging environment as the rest of the episode. All the best!

Hi @edolat1998, thanks for the feedback! Do you have examples of podcast guest intros that you think work well? I'd love to take a look and see what I can incorporate :)

I really liked the content of the intro, I thought it worked well. My comment was more on the setting: the light and the whiteboard behind you. When I watched it I thought it could be “professionalized” through better lighting and a better background. Even doing the intro on the same table that you do the interviews maybe could work. Just sharing ideas, I love the content I just thought of this when watching I thought I would share, I am always grateful for feedback myself so this comes from a good place :) Keep slaying!
