Zamindar Hadi Mamun Chowdhury established this zamindar house in Panchbibi Upazila of Jaipurhat District near the border of India in the northern part of Bangladesh approximately from 1500 to 16th century. It is said that the zamindars of this zamindar house were very tyrannical and cruel long before the zamindar system was abolished, this zamindar house was overrun by zamindars. The ancient architectural monument, located in the border area of Panchbi Upazila of Zakirhat, is almost on the verge of destruction, if the local complaints are properly maintained, the Lakma Zamindar house, a beautiful building of ancient times, will attract the attention of domestic and foreign tourists.
