DTM is back!!!!
More than six hours of testing time and 2,131 laps were completed in Hockenheim. In four test sessions data was collected in order to adjust the vehicles for the start of the season in Oschersleben from April 26th to 28th.
René Rast has been one of the leading drivers in the field from the start and achieved the overall best time of 1:37.077 minutes in the BMW M4 GT3 from Schubert Motorsport. His team mate and former DTM champion Sheldon van der Linde took second place. Two-time title holder Marco Wittmann ensured that the three BMWs from Schubert Motorsport finished the two-day DTM test in the top three places. Ayhancan Güven was in brilliant form with his new team Manthey EMA and drove his Porsche 911 GT3-R to fourth place. The current champion Thomas Preining was 5th fastest.
