Fighting games: You have health, opponent has health, you have a time limit. What happens between the time ending or the first to lose their health is entirely up to the players. Use one button? the same combo? try to be "tourney level"? whatever. If the game judges you the winner or loser that's it. No amount of complaining will change that. Phil of all people should know but he is and has never been a proper tourney player. He got lucky in one particular game and got some wins then dropped completely off the radar, Justin Wong? constantly competing, constantly getting places in tournies and has a lot of respect from players whether he wins or not.

"I don't know how to react to that, I've never seen that move!" Moments later: "You didn't beat me! You just mashed buttons!"

@@PointsofData All fighting games run on frames which are 1/60 of a second. So if I hit someone and I'm +2 and we both do a 10 frame jab I will hit them first. However, if I do a 13 frame move and they do a 10 frame jab, they will hit me first by one frame. If my opponent blocks an attack that is -15 they are guaranteed to hit me with a jab before I can block (punishable). That's the gist of it. DSP wants to do launchers which are generally slower than jabs all day so he gives up his "turn" all the time. His solution is to complain.

@@PointsofData Turns are related to when a player makes a move or a combo that puts their opponent in blockstun. If the move is negative on recovery frames, the opponent can make his turn and start his offensive. Street Fighter gameplay style is that, making it pretty strategic especially on Master/Legend ranks. What we mean by this is Phil doesn't make any effort to retaliate since Tekken 8 prioritizes aggressiveness and space awareness and he thinks an earned victory is by doing the same five or six moves over and over 'til he gets the launcher.
