This is a great method for comparing speakers

Sad to say they have the same low end being different sizes but I guess Stanmore probably could have more spl to fill bigger rooms. Just lsitening the Stanmore wins for me having a more relaxed sound.

do they work paired with a sony pick up? not bluetooth but via cables

MSII sound near the source but not as wide and open.

We have this- its epic BUT the whole Alexa thing is f#$%ing up the whole experience. The crap thing is... it cost more to get one of these WITHOUT Alexa. We cant find the microphone to stab it and kill that b$&@ for good. She freaking goes off all the time.... driving us crazy. There should be a way to deactivate the microphone but there isn't. Get an older model without Alexa or chuck up the extra cash to avoid it if you are like us and dont need/want that freaking thing in your business 24/7. If anyone has figured out how to disable it with doing damage or where to find it to do damage to it, please let me know!

what was the volume level, bass, treble settings for each one of them while testing? Why Acton is sounding better?

in this comparison, the acton sounds way better to me. as soon as the stanmore comes on, I cringe. I would expect the stanmore to sound way better! The stanmore sounds super muffled and like it doesn't have as much range (but how could that be?).

The Acton 2 and Stanmore 2 both use the same 15 watt tweeters. The Acton being smaller works better with those tweeters and has 20 watts less power going to the woofer so the bottom end isn't overpowering the high frequency range. Thats my humble opinion on why the Acton sounds better!

Thanks for all comments! I decided to acquire the acton after this video and seeing the comments. Cost/benefit is better for acton I believe.

It does. I've listened to both of them and picked Acton II. Stanmore needs to be listened to really loud to show off. Yet, is bigger but doesn't offer much more for the size.
