When I would visit Storm in FL, when he lived there. I loved how there was this kind of Moss on the trees. It's the one thing I wish the West Cost had. SO this was super cool to see you do.

Here we have 'old man's beard' aka usnea (I have a video on it) and I've used that in a similar way but wow do I love having fresh spanish moss - powerful stuff :)

I live in Texas and this is everywhere. It is one of the very few plants I can get just walking out into the woods. 💜 That dragon is so cute. For drying, I usually spread it out and let it air dry for a few days.

You are lucky and yes she said it is everywhere lol I do love my dragon. If I had the room I might try the air drying but also don't trust my cat ha ha

I put the spanish moss in the microwave for about 20 seconds then check it...More time if needed...To dry it n kill the bugs...

Please be careful with Spanish moss. I live in Florida so it’s everywhere. Lice is known to live in Spanish moss. Just wanted to let everyone know that wants to work with fresh Spanish moss. My daughter kept getting lice when we first moved here. It was driving me crazy. Once when we were at her doctor and we discussed it. He asked if she climbs the trees a lot. Yes. She was in the trees as much as she could be. And she would actually put the moss on her and pretend she was a zombie or whatever. That’s when we found out about Spanish moss and lice. I also did more research and found that was the situation. Handle fresh Spanish moss with care.

Thank you for that great information! I didn't know about the lice - probably another good reason to wear gloves, clean up well after and bake it to kill off anything hiding - much appreciated!

What do you do with dry Spanish moss? Here you pay a lot of money, for fresh moss that you can grow as decoration! greetings from Belgium

I personally use it in a variety of ways, it makes great 'stuffing' for poppets and witch balls. I see it as a strong 'web' that can keep something out, protecting what is within

I was trying to get Spanish moss, but it was dried and I’m trying to revive it. Is there a way I can?

usually once it is 'dried' it is basically not alive anymore. If it just recently started to dry out then you may be able to revive it by misting it every few days.
