This man should have at least 100k subs, very good story teller.
Thank you so much for these vids, it's awesome to see there are others out there that enjoy fly fishing as much as I do!
As always, awesome video. Love that our WNC waters are so productive!
Looked like a perfect day. Great conditions. Bunch of fish. Can’t beat days like those.
Great video. Just discovered this channel. Brings back good memories of being in college without a worry in the world except where to fish next. You guys are in a great territory to fly fish. I am just over the border in TN. I hope to get over your way a little this summer to fish.
love your videos! & some great learning! thanks guys!
Awesome video and as always thanks for sharing!
Good luck with finals! Thanks for taking the time to make the video. Enjoyed it!
Super pumped to see a guy in the southeast making videos like these. Loved it man hope you keep making videos
How are there only 5 likes? This has been out for at least 9-10 minutes! Should be around 100k. KZread must be messed up...

Boys are out there killing it! Awesome vid man. Those little black stones looked deadly
Great video guys. My go to dry dropper rigger is my foamed assed caddis with a little France fly or frenchie. I do pretty well with that rig.
Choice of dry/dropper and video nicely done - well done!
Very cool video! Love the dry dropper on small wild trout streams. It is lethal for sure. Nicely done and well edited as always!

Yessir, we always fish public water!
So were you on the Watauga river out toward Valle Crucis or on the Laural by 105? Beautiful browns!
Shoutout Denver Beer Co.!
Impressive
This was a very nice movie :) You caught the good atmosphere from this trip. Can I ask what kind of # you use on your rod in this vid?
Wow dude
Love the channel. Looking forward to the summer adventures! Were these wild or stocked fish?

Thank you! All these fish were wild.
From MT. Love your video. Come on, the water can’t be so cold you need full waders. Thought it was summer. LoL.
You guys should try out czech or euro style nymphing, I reckon youd have a nice amount of success in runs like the ones you're fishing in this vid.

The spot at 6:15 is one of my favorites and my 7 yr old caught her first wild at the spot of 7:43! Awesome local stream and great fishing.

nick campany getchya a map and start exploring man!
Does the dry fly float? Doesn't the wet nymph sink it?
So what was the 2nd order?
I'd love to fish Boone area. Which streams could you suggest?
What kind of waders do y’all use
Which stretch is this? I go to app and need more fishing spots!
What creek/stream is this?
Where in Boone is this?
Denver Beer Co!!!
You should come to New Zealand to fish

Oh it's on the list for sure!
Quick question from a relative newb: why is the narrator consistently setting the hook "upstream"? Is that intentional for some reason? I've been under the impression that setting by moving the rod tip downstream was less likely to just pull the fly out of the fish's mouth.
Is there a difference between nymphing and Euro nymphing?
@WildFlyProductions

Yes, watch our euro nymphing video and you can learn some of the differences.
What weight rods are you guys using?

recipe 4 recovery but you can run dry dropper with a size 16 fly as long as your nymphs are light

What weight rod are u using can anyone help me out I’m loling to fish for smaller specs and also 20inch to 27 inch steel heads what would be the best weight rod and size reel?
@WildFlyProductions
5 жыл бұрын
jonah urban we’re using 4wt rods in this. Unfortunately you’re not gonna find a rod that will be suitable for brookies and steelhead. Your best bet would be a 2-4 weight for brookies (specks) and an 8 eight or Spey rod for steelhead.
@jonahurban2649

WildFlyProductions guess I’ll look at a 3w for specs what length would u recommend ? And would a 5/6 reel be the best option to? Thanks for everything I appreciate it
Hey man, I’m thinking of taking a ride over to Boone and fishing for the first time. Can you recommend me any wild streams to try? I have no clue where to start.
lol 2 separate orders?

@@WildFlyProductions okay good deal 👍
You drove and your buddy wouldn’t buy you breakfast? That’s messed up man
Nice stream.....but you're not mending your line(could get a much longer drag-free drift!)...ease up on the forceful hook sets. Other than that...fun stuff.
Lol why not you just take turns covering the check? Not homies like that?
Don't even buy 6x.
Would be more relatable if you took a moment and showed the dry dropper combo you are using. John K
What dry dropper? What flies and why, how rigged. Seen people catch fish, nothing new🤣
