I always confuse Daniel Boone and Davy Crockett, too. Probably because I grew up watching Fess Parker play both men on the TV.

Captain, the real reason Daniel Boone moved away was that his neighbors began renting out their home constructed of river stone as a Rbnb rental.(Rock bed n breakfast, The name was later changed to Airbnb, when the Shawnee's invented the air mattress) Constant problems kept happening, such as dozens of strange horses that were parked along the gravel country road at all hour hours. Loud boisterous parties would go on sometimes late into the night (As late as 5:00 pm sometimes) Next came the drunken carousing, leaving the road strewn with empty Boones Farm bottles, a fluorescent hued flavored wine-based beverage. (Ernest and Julio Gallo were still young kids then & wore short pants back in the day) The final straw came when rifle sho_s rang out from the neighbor's house, believed to be from Pennsylvania Long Rifles, a.k.a. the Kentucky Rifle. Daniel tried dialing 911, but phones hadn't quite been invented yet, so he had to settle on the local constable--although they too weren't invented yet... and even if there were any available, it probably would have taken them 3 weeks of riding their horse code 3 to get there in time...
