The guy is drunk as a skunk... He's a Northerner, where constant swearing is normal. Something to do with the harsh conditions of living, I guess... (Comparable to north Alaska). The place in the video is Drøbak, a small town, situated some 40 kilometres south of Oslo. It's a peaceful place, so the cops just want the grumpy drunk out of people's way...

There's an ongoing police scandal in Norway right now. A police officer charged with beating up a guy, another police officer deleted video evidence from a witness' phone. The Norwegian police has also been illegally searching people for drugs for years, especially minority youths, racial profiling and so on.

@@rowaystarco Well it's not perfect, but compared to the US, the majority are good guys, and I've never been racially profiled by any Norwegian cops. Only been nice to me, and I live in Oslo. And yes this scandal shocked the nation, as they where all ethnic white Norwegians being beaten up, but this is not the norm, nor a common occurrence.

@@kilipaki87oritahiti Sure, but we keep getting examples of unprofessional police. Especially in regards to drug addicts and people engaged in that debate. One of the most recent things is a police officer writing racist remarks about a proponent for decriminalization of drugs, on internal police pages. Implying he's a spy for Iran because he's half Persian. He got 50 likes from fellow police officers... Norwegian police is not as bad as American, but there's a lot of dirt under the surface.

That wouldn't help. Smalltown Drøbak is like an Astrid Lindgren town. Those cops like "Kling" and "Klang". Patroling Storgata/the Main Street on foot. That's what cops did when I grew up there. They'd greet and chat with people. In the 1960's everybody knew everybody in this town. This would not work in the US. Where cops are trigger happy, and undereducated. This drunk would've ended up in the loony bin....

That’s not true. Actually, many aggressive guys calm down a bit when there is a female police officer (or nurse, EMT). Many guys have sub-consciously some moral instinct not to hit or kick a woman. There are even scientific studies about this, female staff members can deescalate situations just because they are present.
