To be honest this is Tristam's best song ever. Like seriously, I never thought he'll make a song better than Truth or I Remember. I really didn't like his other recent songs, but this is an exception. The vocals are at a very different style, the drop was like nothing Tristam has made. I remember discovering this song while I was in elementary school ready to head into middle school. I'm now working, and the fact that this song will be 10 years old by the end of this year makes me feel a lot older than I think I am. I think I was still discovering Monstercat by that point too, and thus began my EDM stage. To this day, this remains as one of Tristam's strongest and most iconic tracks. And I'm so happy I found it.

Tristam is the Walter White of music, anything he makes is just so pure and never disappoints.

I still think this is his best song. It's the first time his vocals really stood out and melded perfectly with the instrumental. The drop is beautifully made. Melodic yet powerful in its own way. This is easily one of the best songs on the entire label imo.

My favorite song

It's going to be really hard not to sound like a Tristam fanboy, but this is amazing. The vocals are perfect, but the drop outdoes them. The melodies and progression are awesome, and the sound design reminds me of Porter Robinson. This song reminds me of Goodbye To A World with its apocalyptic feel. The percussion is nice, the kick is very smooth and the snare is alright. This is easily my favorite song from Tristam, and one of his few songs that's going to receive the hype I believe it deserves. I'm not saying Tristam's bad, I think he's great, but the best Monstercat artist? No. AND FUCKING PIXL

This song is very hard hitting for me. especially the bits where he says "I'll never be afraid to die again" and "I'll carry you through hell." It just emphasises the importance of a close friend and i think that's wonderful

Time goes so goddamn fast. My taste in music has changed, but it’s nice coming back here to listen.

This is why Tristam is one of the best on Monstercat, this is fucking amazing.

Skylord Guillaume All I can say is I guess my hate towards him was lit by Far Away. Maybe it was hate towards Braken. Hmm

I remember being in the worst place mentally and emotionally when a friend brought me up to this song and I used to keep wondering if I'll ever find a friend like that, only to realise 2 years later I myself was the one who did his best to "carry you through hell". Since then this song to me has been about self-love more than it has been about anything!

I never thought a Drumstep song could give me chills. Wow.

Those people who say dubstep is horrible because it's just a bunch of random sounds clearly have only heard the song of a trash artist. They clearly haven't looked into songs like this one, which are so emotional and beautifully made. To be a part of this community is one of the best things that's happened to me.

To me, this is the most melancholy drumstep I've listened to so far. It evokes so many profound memories and emotions...

I love Tristam's Music. It really hits my feels. All I think of is happy memories. How I wish I could go back in time to enjoy them again

My only problem with this is that I listened to it a lot during a very "depressed" stage I went through at one point so now every time I listen to it I feel kinda sad XD Great song though! :3

Gotta love these releases with the deep lyrics, and the drop... that impact always bursts me into tears. It's like there's so much bundled-up emotion put into it that someone's just finally letting all out. Such a beautiful song 😭

I like to come back to this not in sadness, but in absolute awe to how music can have such a large emotional effect on people. This right here really captures your emotions and it's perfect. I'll never find out how you did it, but I'm gonna keep trying

This shit hits hard. I remember being on Kik, messaging my Minecraft friends and receiving a notification of this upload and clicking it immediately. Then proceeding to tell my friends how this song is so epic and that they are all my friends. This was 4 years ago. We are no longer friends, no longer play Minecraft, and are in College or University.

This is pretty mainstream though.. however not garbage.

3 years and still one of the best songs tristam has made

the definition of beauty is not a set standard,it is when something exceeds that standard. this certainly does that.

When I listen to music I create a temporary world inside my head matching the theme of the song and this one was a masterpiece... a sad, beautiful masterpiece. This is what went down; A soldier in a war is fighting and all of his comrades are being shot. He moves up to engage in close range when all of a sudden out of the corner of his eye his friend is shot down by turret fire. He scrambles over and while fighting off the enemy hauls his friend's body over his shoulder and escapes the battle. Back home, 3 months later he is attending his friend's funeral when the people who killed his friend interrupt the service by shooting a child in the middle of it. He runs outside and manages to kill one of them, grabbing the fallen enemy's gun he starts trying to drive the attackers far from here. He chases them out of the area before finally being stabbed in the throat by the last one alive, killing the him.

just spent an hour trying to find this among the back of my memories of a better time. simpler times.

Tristam's music along with Braken's always gave me some emotional vibes. Each section conveys different emotions like an instinct.
