Фильм және анимация
Two French Foreign Legion officers (Ralph Byrd, Peter George Lynn) love a woman (Lorna Gray) and face Moroccans with parachutes.
This one features a fantastic performance by Mantan Moreland as the New York transplant put in charge of the paratroopers.

I love watching Mantan in even the crummiest low budget movie.. Pretty cool to see him in some serious scenes in this one. He could act and not just do comedy. Talented man. Highly underused.
I enjoyed watching Mantan in the Charlie Chan series and in any other movies he's acted in. He certainly steals the show!

Once again Mantan Moreland makes the movie!!! What a GREAT role he plays! As much as I like his funny movies 🎥 I think this was a great blend of humor and hero!!!!! I just may have a new favorite MM movie!!! Thanks for posting!
Love these old low budget adventure flicks. I reeeally wanted to see more of Mantan Moreland, though, he steals any film he's in.

Agreed. In terms of roles, I think this is the best of his Monogram films.

Mantan was slow in getting g in on this film but he certainly had a prominent supporting role in this adventure film . Apparently he was considered a star even by white producers and prehaps the public as well
To my delite I descovered Mantan Moreland on a O.T.A. channel a few years back and tried to catch a movie of his whenever I could . I am new to streaming movies , now I can watch as many as I want back to back . I love this guy , so much talent . He does it all . 😊😊😊Peace & Prosper😊😊😊

Mantan Moreland was a comic genius.
Mr Moreland cracks me up every time.
👍👍👍👍🍷. Good to see Ralph Byrd ( "Dick Tracy" ) in this one as well as Mr.Moreland.
Everybody loves "Jefferson"!! (Mantan Moreland) He was great in the Zombie Movies, too! His character is what makes these Movies!!
An enjoyable romp nice to see Mantan Moreland playing a role that gives him more to do than run around acting scared. Thanks for posting.

Or being a Yes Man or being a chauffeur yes indeed better role
Edward Kay sure comes up with great Musical Scores. I absolutely love the Musical Score that he did for, "King of the Zombies"!!! I love, love, love it, and Edward Kay even got an Academy Award for that score !

LOVE that one! His character winds up being smarter than the alleged "heroes" of the film.
Mantan Moreland was hilarious with F. E. Miller in 'Lucky Ghost". Great movie to watch on Halloween!
51:57 "I don't guess you seen one'a these before, but in Harlem we calls'em a PERSUADER" Great line. Also dig the swag of his use of the straight razor.... presentation (item)...cleansing (the ease of his wrist swipe on the 1rst pass against his shoe sole.) and re-iteration ...Mantan has a little Street GRIT behind the illusion of them buggin'-ass eyes of his.

Mantan Moreland was very talented.
Great movie. When cruise ships had class .
Good performance 👍
Mantan Moreland: Although his “brand “ of comedy is not accepted today, back in the day, this was really the only way to do it. He was EXTREMELY talented. Not just a comedian, but full Entertainer❗️ I have several of his movies, [ and all of the Charlie Chan movies]. I’ve seen clips from other tv shows, too. I think his last appearance was on an episode of Adam 12 (?). I also love watching old “B” [ and “B-“, an some “C” movies, too]. 📻🙂
Love Mantan Moreland. On a side note...I have done some skydiving. Today we use the parachute wings. The old round ones used in WW2 could not be guided or at least were hard to guide. The newer ones can be steared.
Love the thumbnail with the Moors in it! We have always been here on this land at America. Much peace to all!
Salutes to the Senegalese soldiers.
Mantan Moreland playing a non comical role. One that showed his ability to have flexible skills. Thought of The Tuskegee Airmen when I saw this.

Lovely Story, well done all players ❤
a very entertaining movie, made much more entertaining by the great Mantan Moreland. 😄😄👍👍👍
Meatball and Egghead I was dead
Outstanding
Wow!
very nice surprise
The dancing scene is a cut from The Legion of Missing Men.
This flick would have been a piss-poor melodrama if not for Mantan Moreland and his fellow paratroopers. It turned out to be a fine Saturday afternoon matinee film.
Say reeblack, being the historian that you are, I know you're familiar with the early black comedy team of Miller and Lyles. They made some films in the late 1920s. Do you have access to any of them?
A thank you
Just how it was then😎😩✌
C-130 rolling down the strip, airborne daddy bout to take a lil trip, stand-up hook-up shuffle to the door, jump right out and count to four, if my main don't open wide, I've gotta reserve by my side, and if my reserve fails me too, airborne daddy gonna lose his cool...
The French Steward is playing all the angles.😂 I can't count to 10 , but I doz real good up to 6 😅PRICELESS😅
Never had any training but their going to jump out of a plane.😀

Even in WW2 WITH training the Forces expected 10% loss on each jump wave: injuries and worse.
Ralph Byrd played DickTracy in the movies when I was a kid..Way back when..Good Old Days..
Moroccans with parachutes .... in 1940 ? DUUUUHHH
20;00 Is that Jack Bennys' "Rochester"???
His big bulging eyes look funny!
I'm fired
Mantan was better and more funnier than Stepin Fetchit and Rochester.

I was looking to lose myself in a "regular" black and white and of course, my feed brings up this because I follow you guys. Kudos to Mantan for the times, but this is sickening. Truth is, many old films are hard to watch as an adult..... You realize that "My Girl Friday" is about saving a policeman from shooting a black man, you realize in "Little Princess" you are rooting for a man and his daughter who own diamond holdings in Africa and who is fighting a war that should not have existed in South Africa. ...You ask yourself why is Humphrey Bogart in so many countries, yet you rarely see the natives - at least saying anything. The mere fact that this is your channel makes me have to think about what I am looking at.
