Filling Jeff's shoes was a huge and difficult task. And Simon did it with class !

I miss the chemistry he had with the band. Shannon was a beast too but Simon felt like the perfect fit after Jeff passed away.

The iteration of the band with Simon really kicked ass!. The 35th anniversary concert is right up there in great gigs. I did a drum clinic in '89 with Simon and he is a true gentleman and very across the full spectrum of audio technology. A total professional.

"This is not the band I joined..." makes perfect sense to me.

Jeff Porcaro was my all-time favorite drummer, but I love Simon too. Not only for his incredible playing, but for coming in after Jeff passed and helping to keep the band going. It is great that he played on one of Joe's songs and it would be awesome if they do something together again down the road.

As a professional drummer, I played with Eddie Money for 2 years, Simon is one of THE greats behind the kit. There are many, he's a standout to be sure. John, you are a class act thru and thru. You let your people speak after you ask a question. After all, that's the point and YOU GET IT!! Good stuff!!

Im glad they talk, life is too short and Luke and Simon are a blistering combination. Saw them in Los Lobotomys and they just tore the place apart.

Thumbs up for getting some time with Simon! I met him and Luke after a show at Casino Rama in Ontario 2007. Greg P and Lee Sklar were there and it was definitely fantastic, but as Simon says, not the same band he joined. Glad to hear they get along now. Looking forward to part 2! Thanks John! Miss the live Friday night shows!
