The half time feel into the incredible double bass work made it build all the way through. Loved it.

Dirk showed his vision of the drumming sound on this legendary track. I've watched this episode of Drumeo several times. Exelent video!

Megadeth live is a next level experience. Dirk is just an absolute beast.

Megadeth is an amazingly talented band and they put on a hell of a show. Hell, all 80s hard rock bands put on amazing shows really.

One of the Greats of thrash Metal for sure!!!! I write out structure sheets too learned it from one of my Drum teachers a long time ago. Excellent for just hearing it one time!!!!!

Just relistened to this - the guy’s really nailing it - without hearing the original drum part, he’s doing a great job - good feel, sounds natural - nice work!

The reason I can believe some of these musicians and not heard up 40 music is because I discovered Falling Reverse only six months ago. I was in my hip-hop phase and they were coming up and I totally missed out on them. So it is possible.

Dirks' version could definitely be used. If he sped up the tempo a bit and perfected, the ending, it would have been really good.

Gotta disagree o. The speeding the tempo. Doing that would match the original, kklling the more morose tone Dirks playing gives the song. I think it matches the song better.

I kinda like some of the half time stuff he did. It could be a cool alternate version if he cleaned it up for sure. But yea, lots of different ways to make this song sound good

I’m actually pretty surprised that he didn’t pick up on the fact that the whole song was meant to be full time after realizing the chorus was full time. Especially with the 16th notes on the guitar keeping the pace during the verses. Interesting take though, props to him for putting himself out there!

I think i like Dirk´s version more, although he halftimed the verse, the chorus and the ending part, specially with the double kick, was for me way better than the original,

He looks like such a geek. I say this affectionately: geeks take what they do seriously a enjoy doing it at a level that "outsiders" often don't get. His drumming is really "melodic" (for lack of a better word) relative to the original track. Both work, but they are emotionally different. Awesome.

5:00 True. A break is induced by the voice eq. But it's so easy to fix in edit that, in doubt, a seasoned session musician might play it anyway, just in case.

I've been a Megadeth fan since the So Far, So Good, So What album. I just saw them play the Aftershock festival and band sounds real good, though it looked like someone left Dave in the sun too long.

Music is not a one way… it’s cool because he wasn’t “supposed” to do nothing, “pausing” “double time”… all of this doesn’t matter! 😂 If feels good… it is the way! You know this man is the best, because he listen to the original drums without comparing, just listening. The most honor a musician can have is a cover or a appreciation for the work you make!

As a musician by myself I don't really can believe that such professional musicians don't know the top 50 people in their own flock.....

I’m not a musician, but I wonder if the original drummer would get a kick out of the fresh interpretation. Like I wonder if he would implement some of the things he heard on this in his live shows to mix it up for fun.
