Hi Chris! thanks for sharing this. as you, i love mix drums too (and i use the same plugs!) . but i think your old mixes weren't as processed as this one, i am wrong?. i find for exemple, the raw sound is not bad, in my opinion I would have been lighter on it (lot of serial eq!).

TheKiknplay my really old mixes weren’t as processed for sure but I continually try to improve what it sounds like. Having different headphones/monitors has changed my perspective on the mix. I just keep playing with mix until I’m happy with it. I do listen back to old covers occasionally, and I really prefer the more processed sound. A lot of the older videos were mixed on my in ear monitors, so they weren’t balanced well.

I don't really do anything. It'll either be allowed to play or not. It's really up to the copyright holder and how they want to deal with it. Most of the time, they just post ads.

How much time it took you to fully understand the Pro Tools Software? I know how to play drums, but I don't know how to record them into a Mic and upload them to edit it in a Software like ProTools Do you recommend any tutorial apart from this? Greetings from Tamaulipas, México! Stay safe man

David Miller I actually have the performance series also. I would say it’s a toss up with a slight edge to performance series. I’m actually looking to try something different in the future. Possibly the Sonor SQ1.

Chris Stanley thanks for the feedback. I’m struggling to decide with all the options out there. It seems like shell material doesn’t make as much difference as hardware and heads. Finish options are very limited when it comes to low end vs high end kits. I just want to get the best quality at the $1500-$2000 price level.

What software are you using to edit? :)

All this is good, but quite expensive. I think all your equipment, including drums, cymbals, stands, microphones, etc. cost about 10 thousand dollars. Or maybe more. This is the price for quality sound. )

True, I do have a bunch of gear but you can achieve great sound with much less. The main thing is being able to accurately hear what you're mixing.
