IS LAYERING YOUR CLAPS/HATS ETC. A MUST FOR YOU THAT YOU DO ONCE YOU START A PROJECT OR DO YOU ALSO USE LOOPS AND AT SOME POINT YOU MIGHT REALIZE “OH I NEED A PUNCHIER CLAP” AND THEN YOU GO AND LAYER IT? THANKS AND I LOVED THE VIDEO 💙

@@thanos_k It all depends how i am feeling when i start the project. usually more creative means doing the layering later

Happy to help!
its great to see that im almost naturally doing these techniques through experience! ive also spent 7 days deleting like 800 gigs of samples that i never used and really organised my samples which i think will also help with this.
Good stuff Wes. Your teaching is spot on amazing and has drastically changed the sound of my music.
Thanks for another top tutorial!!
Really good video this mate keep them coming!
This is gold!
Love the tutorials!
great video mate thanks for sharing
the best! as always
Great tutorial!
Thanks for this tutorial :D!!!!
I started using the Voxed MSED plugin instead of Ableton stock mid-side processing. It's way faster and now I improved my workflow time. Westend is one of those producers who makes it easy to look over our knowledge in music production.
Thanks!!
thx a lot!
Thanks coach

This helps me so much with layering drums. Thanks for that. I got fabfilter Saturn 2, but dont got the same presets as you. can I buy them somewhere?

Westend is using the original FabFilter Saturn. You won't be able to see those presets if you are using Saturn 2. My suggestion is to pause the vid and copy the settings you see on the screen. It's a pretty basic patch, thankfully.
What is the name of the beginning song, sound punchy and good!

19:35 what's that you sipping on?
Amazon video, just please raise the volume on your voice.
So, for a kick why wouldn’t you just give the mids of a good sample an eq boost and not bother with layering?

boosting on lower frequencies tends to add distortion.
Dope video but the voice seems incredibly low compared to the DAW audio
