I've had that like 4 or 5 times watching videos of Larnell since I discovered him a few days ago
😮 4:05 to 4:13 😮 AWESOMENESS *LARNELL* *LEWIS* you're fun to listen to. *RESPECT* for your gift bro!
I wonder how often he loses his keys and wallet in the infinite depth of his pocket.

My God. To this day I haven’t seen anyone that interprets music as good as this guy.
Top 10 drummer in the World today....He's the man!!!!
Awesome drummer, and incredibly good mix and master, whoever did it
@PhillipNutt

The mix is terrible lol there is zero pickup to any of his cymbals
He looked like he was in a bad mood that day, but when the music started he brought it. Now that's a professional!
Who needs a double pedal? Haha one of the greatest drum player iv've ever seen!
@gustafsone
4 жыл бұрын
Larnell doesn't even really need a single pedal, let alone a double. I just watched a Snarky Puppy video where Larnell literally broke his kick pedal during the middle of his solo. He took a a few seconds to move it out of the way, then he finished his solo without it like a champ.
Simply one of the best drummers to come out of Canada.

Ya Larnell!!!
Wow, just a monster... so tight and precise, and yet technical and groovy.
WOW this guy is amazing. Thanks for the share. Blazed it
whoow!Go Larnell!
Wow. Nasty grooving. How bout that bass drum, damn. That's what a great bass drum hopes to be.
Auxiliary on the right is tuned perfectly once he turns the snare off. Sounds perfect like a floor Tom
@GavinOswald

how is that even possible
@brandonwiggins540

Gavin Oswald A snare drum without the snare on is basically a shallow tom. How the bottom head is tuned has a ton to do with it also.

Brandon Wiggins Oh i know haha but i've never heard a floor tom sounding shallow 14" snare lol

+Gavin Oswald ive gotten that effect with my 14x5 acrolite, i didnt think it would work as well as it did. Double ply top head/ BFSD/ gaff tape are a big help
@augsdoggs

In another video, it’s him playing interspersed with an interview and gear talk. He describes that for the right side auxiliary, he uses an Evans hydraulic head; that in combination with the tuning of the bottom skin gives him the unbelievable sound he has in that particular video. It’s likely the same or similar to what he was using in this one.
4:35 Yes... GO LARNELL!!
amazing drum sound ! amazing drummer ! I love this set and Chris Daves drums
From 2:01 to 2:05 that little piece from the bass player killed me. These sounds are the reason why I have insomnia.
Damn... Larnell has the coolest fills

Can someone please explain the snare on his right hand side! It sounds like a floor tom how did he make that happen
@tanisrobinson3629

It appears all of the audio was replaced with programmed drums.
Smh!!! Nasty!
How to make that snare when off sound like a floor tom ?
@user-zr9hu3tf1y

anyone wondering about this, he made a video about it on Drumeo: kzread.info/dash/bejne/eYmfs8ShpZjUlrQ.html
I think he needs bigger crashes I really couldn't here them and when I could they sounded like splash
The Snare at his right is also a tom? Whent he turns the snares of it sound like a standtom. im confused
@addrock123
7 жыл бұрын
If you tune a deeper snare like you would a tom, use the right combination of heads and dampening its amazing. I do it with a 13x7 tama steel snare and its so much fun to play

smh....
The drumming is amazing, the camera work, shit. Is it really necessary to keep jumping around? Most musicians do have an attention span that is longer than it takes to get to the next commercial.
This is how worshippers play.
Video producer should be fired for trying out all artistic effects from the 90's....
