At about the 11 minute mark he's talking about the Defender of the True World and says it's bonuses against Fey creatures are just OK, no big advantage. What he's overlooking is that when the time comes tackle the Endgame, nearly all your enemies will be Wild Hunt, which are powerful Fey. Any bonuses are EXTREMELY useful. And immunity to the mind-affecting affects of Fey is HUGE. They love to use fear, confusion, and domination... all mind-affecting. So for the long game that's what I would choose.

Yeah, but when you get to that point you will be geared with an optimized party and some other means of dealing with those situations. There are some fey early game as well, but they are so weak that I reckon those bonuses don't even make a huge difference. However, I do think that these builds for unfair difficulty tend to be min/max and you are suggested ridiculous multiclass with 2/3/4 dips in other classes (which you don't need) which although it does make your game easier, you will still be forced to reload just as many times since that is the truth about the balance in this game. Specifically early game. So him suggesting you not worry about those bonuses is actually a good thing, cause you should focus on the early game the most on unfair.

Pathfinder: Kingmaker seems oddly niche on youtube, i only recently got into the game and was quite surprised at how little content there is on here. Thank you for these vids, you really do a good job with the presentation and you're keeping a very nice flow that's easy to listen to. Keep them coming pls :D

It had a very buggy launch which caused it to fall from favor, for the most part. Personally, I got it on launch day and then shelved it until they'd patched it to a more playable state. For many people it seems that was a deal breaker. It's their loss really. The game has turned out to be amazing, but I get the feeling that many early purchasers never returned.

Nice, just what i was hoping for next. Been enjoying your content surrounding Pathfinder.

The elemental shapes give great defenses if you take natural spell feat you can cast while in them, and barkskin stacks with the natural armor of the shapes. I made a Druid specifically for summons and animal companion to use as tank. Also animal domain gives animal companion and with boon companion feat your companion is just as strong as any other.

The domains give you access to spells like Fireball & Chain Lightning. Druids can also convert prepared spells into summon nature Ally.

'Not that many poisons'. Uh huh. More than half the enemies have some sort of poison attack or effect. Also, casting from wild shape is a thing. So you get all the stats and mobility of an animal and all the casting power of a natural force of destruction. It does take some getting used to though. Once you do, you're basically a giant bear with a pair of gatlin guns mounted to your back. Good times.

Please consider giving the direction of your build in the beginning of videos. Such as, “we’re building a casting blaster Druid” or a “Close quarters tank Druid”. Thank you

Animal Domain gives a Companion at level 4 and can take boon companion to make the pet equal to your level so animal is technically the strongest choice but its a later bloomer

You can always pick Animal domain for extra free spells and get companion on level 4 and boon them at level 5.

@@zzxp1 I think You can pick boon companion feat and give them extra 4 levels(they can't be higher level than you) so in the end they end up with the same level as a normal druid for 1 feat cost.

Has Necromancer Build video for "unfair" and another one from Druid for the same difficulty? For the updated version or one that works, but the root necro, the summoning and cursing, and a root druid, healing, elements and summons?

I played Feyspeaker and consider it a very weak class. You simply lose too much to be able to keep up with enemy resistances. 1/2 BAB, fewer regular combat feats making it very hard to get all the Spell Focus/ Spell Penetration/ Metamagic you need. Smiley the Smilodon was awesome, he saved me so many times.

You definately should give Beneath the Stolen Lands a go at your channel, dude! Something tells me that'd be a perfect little series ^^

if you go for a shapeshifter build you can take a lvl dip into monk for crane style feats and a dip into vivi for mutagen, with +4 enhancement, +6 legendary proportions, +4 from form and +4 from mutagen you can stack a lot of strength, you can also go for dex build for more ac but it's going to be worse, in the very late game you can negate the shitty BAB with an alchemist casting transformation on you

@Suryanto Tan pets aren't really strong. They are a no-cost resource that deals damage and takes aggro. after level 12 they need strong Buffs to stay viable until endgame, like polymorph.

@Suryanto Tan You've got the right idea. I can't reach max level with more than a 4 person party. Pets make that WAY easier. It's just that pet builds are kinda limited to support.

if u pick animal domain u can get an animal companion at level 4, with boon feats should be the same as picking an animal companion from the start right? Also thinking about multiclassing druid with the monk for wisdom ac and unarmed strike? Not sure how it works tho.

Can the druid be used as a healer/support? I am new in the game and I am looking for a no cleric or paladin healer if it is possible

I do like both a animal companion and the weather domain on a druid. However since you can't get both as a druid initially, I do a dip into the Hunter Class to get a animal companion. It's worth the sacrifice of a level of druid.

Did they ever fix summons not following the summoner?

Hey Mono , i was thinking about playing a little bit of heavy roleplaying character in Pathfinder Kingmaker , i wanted to create crazy "madman/madwoman" voiced gnome alchemist , throwing bombs/ mutagens and such , is there a chance you could help me with starting attributes/feats and such please, im new to Pathfinder and plan to play on story difficulty for now 😉

Hmm. Medium progression and spells not bad. Is Leopard good for Animal companion or should I always pick the Sabertooth tiger.

The Smilodon is overall the best since he is solid from the early game to the late game :)

Leopard is one of the better companions still. His niches are: fastest base movement speed, weapon finesse (dex determines damage unlike all other companions where it's str). Also a big thing to consider is that leopard grows from small to medium size. Smilodon for example grows from medium to large and may be harder to navigate in cramped up enviroments.

Interesting that you value other buff classes and animal companions so highly and Druid so lowly. Druid gets Greater Magic Fang and Animal growth and Barkskin. Throw those on the Animal Companions. For spells all you really need is Summon Nature's Ally plus Augmented Summoning but there are plenty of other great things.

So I'm new to this game, played a bit of pillars of eternity 1-2. But I could really use help making a druid.

Animal Domain or Weather Domain are amazing as Druid. I understand the use of Animal Companions in Unfair but damn, stuff like Call Lightning and Dominate Animal are lifesavers.

yah, in P&P Pathfinder, the druid gets way more...... I dare say if you run a Druid in P&P Pathfinder you could very well become one of the strongest people in the party even without Wildshape also P&P druid in Pathfinder OR D&D 5e is a "1-3 level dip, or max out" type class.... no 10 level druid, 10 level other class stuff

@@eduardomarchant7636 in pen and paper version, you have the option of playing a caster Druid, until you get a dart you have no missile weapons, that sucks big style, the game forcing you to play a certain way.

@@gordonmcinnes5055 You could play an Elf Druid. That way you start out being proficient with bows.

I hate it that so many CRPG creators hate shapeshifters. They are pretty much always poorly implemented and fails to scale in the late game.

Surprised that you always put a lot of points into Con when you've also said that it's usually 1 hit = dead on Unfair difficulty (maybe that was an exaggeration?). I'm a new player, so I have no idea about the purpose but if you care to comment on that, let me know.

Not a very good guide imo but not many people play druid or know how to so I guess that's the main issue .

I love the idea of Druids but on higher difficults in this game I feel like druid are meh.
