What a beautiful conversation Zee. Thanks for guiding him by probing further (Deborah Patta sana with 3rd degree questions ;-) *On the blaming uMakhulu part re: rvpe: it would not be fair to blame uMakhulu because she did not send him there to be baby set. He was there because he committed a criminal act and as a result, got sentenced through the justice system. They (correctional facility) should have been sued for not providing a safe space. And dealing with the issue even after this was disclosed via a social worker. The system is so broken - it is so sad that someone could just come out worse, instead of being rehabilitated. Siv must take some form of responsibility and admit that he erred in that part of committing a crime. Any other thing that followed is just collateral damage as a result of ukuba kwindawo enezigila-mkhuba. It would have likely happened in the 1st week of being in jail, if he was over 18, charged and sentenced for the same crime. If umakhulu had failed to lay criminal charges, chances are, he would have not learned a lesson: that crime is wrong. He would have probably gotten as far as stealing from outside (neighbors, friends, school etc.). Bawo khusela abantwana bakho. Loving how he is trying by all means to change his life.

I commend him for his spirit ❤ what a brave young man. I hope others can learn from him and what he went through. I hope parents with kids who are struggling with mental illness and substance abuse are listening from someone who went through this. Also parents who have kids in that place. I hope they go and fetch their kids. How come a place that supposed to be safe have such horrible outcomes.

For u to be able to make a rehabilitated drug user to open up, means u pretty gifted ntombi. Persuing a career in this would be great and worth it for ppl in need of such.
