Guy with the C2 and all the maze doesn't know what he is doing. NEVER RUN! Turn and FIGHT! Concentrate on the interdiction ship first, then you can quantum out. Equip AD5B and run shields at 100%. I've been soloing cargo for a long time and have had several attempted pirates and none successful.
Without pirates there wouldn't be any sense of danger or risk. Keep it up. Hence hiring escorts in a thing
