Drove My Friend's GUNTHER WERKS 993 to a Hypercar Meet!

This is no ordinary car, the Gunther Werks' 993 is a remastered icon! We've been looking after my friend's 'Winchester' example at @TheShmuseum and it's time now for my first drive to experience what it's like, as we join a hypercar meet with Koenigseggs and Paganis!
Gunther Werks take the legendary 911 993, and completely rebuild it into something very special. Very literally remains original, from the carbon bodywork, to the 4 litre engine by the team at Rothsport that makes 435hp. It's wide, very wide, and houses 295 tyres up front and 335 at the rear inside huge arches that give it amazing presence. This particular examples is one of the 25 Coupes and wears the Winchester nameplate along with its unique pearl white paint and exposed carbon fibre stripes.
The interior is also handcrafted and presented beautifully, however it's not just a one trick pony as the GW-911 is developed for track performance and has set some blistering lap times; try less than half a second behind the McLaren P1 at Laguna Seca despite less than half the power, for example.
After taking a look at the Gunther Werks at The Shmuseum, it's out onto the roads for an early drive to join the Collecting Cars meet at Sopers House, to link up with a very special display of hypercars. Timed with the reveal of the Koenigsegg Agera S 'Goblin', we also have a Koenigsegg Agera, and a One:1 present, along with two Pagani Huayras and a LaFerrari, amongst a sea of supercars too.

Interestingly enough is Guntherwerks own Vorsteiner and they do all the Carbon work in house, it’s some of the best Carbon I’ve seen.

It's a very special car for sure, I thoroughly enjoyed it, but the price tag for this kind of thing is very high and then you start thinking what else can be had for the money... for example both my SLS BS and SF90 together

@@Shmee150 I would love to see different Porsche conversations and adaptations compared, and to hear the chief engineers of Gunther Werks, Singer, RUF, and Gembella talk about the 911, what they love, what they're trying to keep, what they're trying to improve. It's so interesting that such a compromised design inspired such love. Driving the various Comets in Grand Theft Auto is so entertaining.

another connection between our channels , I covered a Collecting cars cars n coffee here in Toronto , Euro spec CGT from france , ( you might know the original owner GT meister ) , amg GT black , LFA revving , Gated Murcielago , Challenge Stradale and the CGT absolutely full send launching it after , they put on a amazing event
This event was fantastic, I got to meet shmee, AdamC was there as well.

This reimagined segment of cusomized Porsches reminds me of the Rolex Submariner, they where the first in that segment of sport watches and then the other companies followed them, for me Singer is the king of the hi end customized Porsches.

I’m amazed at the second hand Egg market, £1M’ish for that green Egg, seems incredible value. Why are pagani, Ferrari etc….going north of their list, and the Eggs are going south……or am I missing something….is the HK origin maybe the reason ?
