My favorite time for smallmouth fishing is in the spring time man!! The smallmouth are huge and bite good in the spring 👏🏼👏🏼

I don't think you have enough rods on the deck... XD Great stuff! I'm a year or so into fishing St. Clair from a boat. I've fish in the Canadian waters and always find myself fishing the Belle River hump. It has always produced decent numbers and size, and I hardly now what I'm doing. I got my Mich license this year. Any suggestions on areas to fish? I usually launch near the Ambassador bridge.

Where do you fish at this time of year, I just went out this past tuesday for 12 hours fished from 6ft-20ft traveled to the mile roads, south channel, middle channel, and the flats around metro and was only able to catch 10 fish mostly under 3 pounds. Is there any way you could give some tips on how to fish lake st clair?

Yeah tbh man! I just look for either bait fish or rocks on bottom and fish around the rocks 🪨

Is the leader really necessary or could you just throw a drop shot on straight braid?

Yes. Use a leader. The clearer the water the longer the leader. No shorter than 4ft for stained water. I use 12-16ft for very clear water
