Excited to follow this project. We're working on a 92 Coupe we're putting a Coyote in. For power steering we're looking at possibly running a Volvo electric power steering pump. The 92 didn't start as extensive as this, but rust has made it a much bigger project. That and we've been waiting 9 months for swap headers now, that's the biggest hurdle right now. Love the work as always!

Great video, but a lot of the parts aren't linked at all or linked incorrectly. Kinda a bummer having to spend 15+ minutes trying to find the exact parts used. For anyone wondering they used Detroit Speed headers (PN 061005DS) but I'll pass on spending $3500 on headers, that's half the cost of the supercharger.....ended up going with some flowtech turbo headers and just flipped them upside down to have the collectors facing back. Only $305 plus some time with my welder, happy with the results.

Everyone thinks that what they're selling is worth what they, themselves, value it at and get offended when anyone tries to haggle with them. This is as true of trying to sell a car as it is your own labor (i.e. getting a job). I was accused of being a scammer for offering someone 2500 bucks for a car they were asking 3000 for. I love the build and hope to win. I have followed Engine Power and Detroit Muscle on the progress. I am wondering where the engine horsepower and torque were set to. The TKX is limited to 600 ft lbs. The first run with the 3.75 pulley yielded 811/662 which already exceeds the tranny's max torque. The final run with the 3.25 pulley was 1003/799. Obviously the last run is super sweet but would destroy the drive train. Could you let us know the final installed horsepower and torque are?

I'm pretty sure those torque limits are rated for a 6000lb vehicle but I could be wrong. For example the T56 is "rated" at 700 ft lbs, but you can find plenty of builds with over 1000 ft lbs of torque on that transmission.

Hey Tommy, love your show and have been watching for a long while now but I tend to look away when people work under an engine hanging on a hydraulic hoist only. I know 1 person where the hydraulics let go and engine fell on his foot, crushing his entire foot and one dropped while fitting an engine into an engine bay, luckily noone was injured there. Don't trust those things as far as I can throw 'em unless they have a manual lockout mechanism...just saying...wanna see you around for a little longer yet Tommy otherwise keep up the good work buddy!!

If I remember one time when they were lifting a vehicle it had the characteristic loud clack of the mechanical locks engaging as it went into the air, so I feel confident in saying that car is sitting on the locks internal to the lift

9:08 You listed everything other than its power rating? I'm guessing its because the TKX is only rated at 600tq when that engine just dyno'd 680tq on the largest pulley and 800tq on the smallest with octane boost.

Looking at those belts, did they change everything to a 6 rib design. I watched the engine power episode and when they tested it the engine had a 10 rib belt for the power.

If you look when the engine is installed it has the 10 rib SFI approved crank pulley, later on you can barely see the pulley is now a stock Ford unit with the twin 6 rib setup now.

love the swap, hate the 3d printed mounting bracket adapter used in this. they are plastic and on the accessory drive im not a big fan of that, lol.

That's not 3D printed. Those lines you see aren't layer lines, they're machining marks from a CNC mill. Also, "plastic" is a wide range of materials. They're likely using an engineering thermoplastic like POM or PEEK, which would give it similar strength to aluminum.

@@waveformdistortion well that makes more sense. That literally looks like someone 3d printed those parts and from personal experience, the 3D printed things are not nearly strong enough to handle the accessory belt of an engine lol.

It is my understanding that, at least in Arizona, replacing a vehicles engine with other than what the vehicle was originally equipped, it will not pass emissions inspection, that is unless the vehicle is a classic car exception because of age. Am I missing something about getting around these requirements? I have a 1996 chevrolet 2dr tahoe that I want to upgrade the engine to a new LS 6.0 and have been told, by local emissions inspection officials my vehicle will not pass the inspection, unless it's registered outside the county where residents are exempt from EPA inspection requirements. Would appreciate any feedback from anyone about this. Thanks all!
