so how accurate is the stockpile measurement?

The data itself has an RMSE of 3cm, using GCP, check points and RTK drone, but the volume calculations are generally within 3% of laser scan or total station, whilst being much quicker and safer. Accuracy of the volume does tend to depend on the shape of the heap, but always within the required tolerances for material management.

Virtual Surveyor was used to do the final stockpile measurments.

@@marinomazor.adventures VS provides better tools for removing objects from terrain such as machinery and also has better feature extraction making the volumes both more accurate and easier to calculate. VS also has a nice volume report creation 👍

Instead of showing the stockpile in the whole video, u could have shown the procedure for processing..
